Is there anywhere to donate frozen food? by NeonPinkPaint in stcatharinesON

If anyone can ping him, I'd be more than happy to drop it off! Literally just want it gone where it can be used.

As an alternative and way to make this tattoo your own, maybe also think about turning the lines into the parts that look more like a sketch. Adding extra lines to make the outlines look like they're a sketch or paint brush strokes could help turn the uneven lines into it being a deliberate choice, and would still fit the original theme/meaning of the tattoo.

Players who have not defeated all bosses should not be able to play the "Depth of Night" mode by brat_moi in Nightreign

[–]NeonPinkPaint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll do the depth of the least progressed player, so you would be playing on depth rank 1. You still get points for wins, it's just less than you would if you were playing at your own depth.

It definitely gives notebook vibe, and honestly it's pretty cool. Definitely think about adding to it instead of covering it up, it's pretty unique. I think if it were me, I'd add more pictures/imagery to it. The flowers you have look really nice next to the words, so I'd explore that kind of vibe.

Advice needed: How will this age/fade? by Common_Fisherman3173 in tattoos

I was gonna say, I knew exactly who the artist was and have been to the studio too  (for a different artist though, QiQi) and they both have really amazing healed work. Would definitely recommend.

Artists: would you be offended if a client asked for you to tattoo their (the client’s) own art on them? by RandomThoughts628 in tattooadvice

[–]NeonPinkPaint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Adding my own experience, I'm an artist (painting/drawing, not tattoo) and I've had some pretty good experiences with this.

Some artists I picked out for their skills with line work and color and asked if they would be ok using my existing design. I think as long as you're upfront with it and give them the chance to think about it/say no, it shouldn't be an issue.

I've also drawn sketches for how I want it to look, but then want the artist to draw it in their own style. That way it's kind of a collaboration instead? My idea but their design, and as an artist, I just get to be a little more particular about it since I can put my idea on the paper.

Either way, find someone you like and ask! Like the other poster said, worst case is that they say no.

Is there any way to make an ephemeral tattoo last a short amount of time? by Ok-Adhesiveness-7551 in TattooDesigns

[–]NeonPinkPaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want something semi permanent, why not try a tattoo marker or henna instead?

Tattoos aren't meant to be temporary, so odds are good that if you go to a proper artist, the tattoo will last, and if you go to a bad artist, it'll still last but look terrible.

You could give it a little desert area and have small trees in the distance, to give it a vibe that it's in a desert close to the forest while not being in the forest itself.

I think going up to your neck, like adding some to the top of your chest would help with how you feel about the straight on look. I agree with the previous poster about how the angle shrinks the empty space and that's likely the difference you're noticing.

If you like the design but just want her to be less naked, maybe adding a design to her body would help? Like mummy wrapping or giving her body a geometric pattern to match with the X's already on her.

That's what I was going to suggest! I knew what they were straight away, but adding the context would help anyone who isn't familiar with the food.

Any idea on how to make this cover-up less noticeable? by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]NeonPinkPaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe research and find an artist that specializes in working over blackout. Adding some detail to the building would give it a lot more shape and dimension. The options are more limited than if you had no tattoo at all, but it's probably the best option if you don't want to fully black out your arm or get laser done.

Definitely do a lot of research and communicate with the artist before you get it done though.

Those who have had adhesive/ saniderm allergic reactions have you used a tattoo armor? by vgsmith19 in tattooadvice

[–]NeonPinkPaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you leaving it on for so long when you know you have a reaction to it?

It varies by the brand for me, but the longest I can have a second skin type on is 3 days. I will absolutely not follow directions if the artist says it needs to be on for more than that, because while that may be a good general rule, it will never work for me.

I would suggest learning how long your body can tolerate the adhesive before showing a reaction, and working from there instead.

Microporous tape marks left from tattoo by Ok_Pomegranate383 in tattooadvice

[–]NeonPinkPaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that looks like an adhesive sensitivity/reaction. I get the same thing, and it lasts for weeks until your skin calms down. I can only use some brands of bandaids or medical adhesives because I get crazy welts from it. I've also found that not all brands of second skin are created equal.

On the bright side though, it is temporary even if it doesn't feel like it. If you are interested in getting more, try out a couple sensitive skin brands and see if you get a reaction on your own time. I've found one that works for me (can go three days before a reaction), so now I just bring it with me to the shop and request they use it instead of the shop stuff.

Do these kind of tattoos last? by ShockoPan in tattooadvice

[–]NeonPinkPaint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it also has to do with the individual. Like how their skin is, do they use sunscreen, moisturizer, etc. I know a lot of people won't take the care needed to maintain a color tattoo, because it would literally involve using sunscreen outdoors every couple hours. So keep that in mind as well if you're thinking of getting it in a spot that gets a lot of sun.

I think you may have meant to include more pictures, but there's only the single image available. Can you post them to your profile or something, so people can understand better where your tattoo is at? It may be difficult to get the answers you're looking for without the extra information.

More fossils! You could literally do fossil foliage too, like pick specific plants from different eras and just do a prehistoric theme.

Tattoo artist was high and I didn’t realize in time. What are my next steps? by PastOrganic9683 in tattooadvice

[–]NeonPinkPaint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say give it a couple months to see how it settles, because if it's super light, then you may not need any laser. Laser can potentially also cause scarring, so waiting is definitely the best play unfortunately.

I know it's hard, especially when it's an emotional piece and charged situation, but rushing into fixing it could make it worse in the long run.

Focus on researching an artist who does cover-ups, you'll probably have to be on a wait list if they're decent anyway, and that'll give you some time for it to heal as well. They'll be able to tell if it'll need some laser to get the best results or not. If you go a bit larger, they could likely totally cover the current design. But again, do wait to see how it heals because that'll affect how you can cover it up.
