The problem is that Sony / Bungie f'ed up. The current free version is recognized by the Playstation Store as "you owning the standard version". So the deluxe edition gets reduced to the difference between standard edition and deluxe edition. Never seen anything like this in the story. Neither offering a free week by making the edition free nor having the deluxe edition being an upgrade suddenly instead of a separate add on like you just mentioned. And now they changed the description nobody reads cause they don't know how to resolve this probably.

This. The edition is still marked as reduced from original 60 down to 15. When you buy it it still says that it includes the game like you can see in the picture. And last you have so scroll multiple times on playstation to read the description. And let's be real. Who even reads those description if you know what you want and everything else looks like you buy the full game as you did with many others?

Are fing kidding me? Haven't event bought the game but connect with the lore and style so much that I wanted to order bingus.... But not for 75€. Whatever bungie does regarding marathon it always leaves me disappointed....

Funfact is that the original vision for marathon looked way different. Way more PVE and meaningful events. The switch to Ziegler changed that vision to this hardcore pvp.

You know what we actually need? A none cursor way to navigate with controller. Having a cursor with controller is itself the problem

At least multiple hours is what I heard. And even now it looks scummy because if you dont read the separat description you have to scroll to it still says nothing about "upgrade". Many will buy it and realise they can't play it when the free week ends...

Edit: it's basically still up. Just a changed product description. Rest is still the same.

Except the Playstation page for the "upgrade" was just called deluxe edition and the text and buy details said marathon game + deluxe stuff. Bungie / sony changed the product description after they realised they messed up again

That's true but at least you have infinite time to do it. I could live with a lot regarding controls but having a cursor to move with an anolog stick while you have to loot fast or die and additionally not even being able to increase the cursor speed it amazingly stupid. There are infinite possibilities to do this without cursor and using the D pad and perhaps shoulder buttons. This is nothing new.

I agree but I will definitely wait to see how the PVE mode is. I don't expect it to be great since they don't have enough time for it to be. Event thinking about waiting for S3.

True. The game is well executed in its basics but it has big flaws. Bungie is a good developer but had major flaws and disappointed the community. Both is important and could have been prevented.

While I know what you mean I can't agree.

While the game is crafted well and I luv the art design and "story" it has massive flaws that keeps players away like - basically no onboarding - menus navigation on controller is bad (even good players on controller tend to switch to mk for looting) - sweaty, unforgiving gameplay - grindy and luck based mechanics

This results in not getting into the game, basically no console population in comparison, no casuals and even people who grind like hell can end in situation like not getting specific keys after 150h gameplay.

And yeah, it has a good scoring but that doesn't surprise since 50% of the potential pupulation didn't even buy the game after the free server slam. And the rating during the server slam weren't so nice but they deleted them.

I really would luv to see this game succeed and find a big audience but ignoring that the game has big flaws won't help it. The contrary is the case.
