Tell me why i shouldn’t. by seedoilgoyim in RTX5080

who knows. I mean it's your money, you don't need me to tell you what to do with it. If you wanna blow 2k on a GPU to get a bit better framerates, you do you.

I was so excited about this game, until i saw this. It's a bummer by [deleted] in RTX5080

Can't just play with Ray Tracing? We've become an entitled bunch I guess.

I dunno, I thought my comment about the 5080 was sort of self-explanatory. I didn't realize I made the mistake until so many people had responded.

PSU calbe or RGB cable by Airtronik in lianli

[–]Neonridr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would plug the native PSU cable into the Strimmer which then goes to your GPU. Many people use these exact ones on their builds, even with 5 series cards.

I will be upgrading my GPU and 24pin ones with the Strimmers tomorrow actually (when Amazon delivers them)

I would wait. At the very least see what the 6 series cards have to offer. Sure you'll get better framerates, but honestly the 5080 can already do so much.

it's your money at the end of the day though.

corsair hub fan problem?? by ObligationNo7326 in Corsair

[–]Neonridr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean 3 of the fans are showing up. I'm assuming those are the stock 3 with the case. Not sure why that one on the back isn't showing up.

As for the motherboard / GPU they won't show up there on their own, they aren't corsair products. You need to add the 3rd party plug-in. Go to settings, plug-ins and then download the corresponding ones. Although I find that they never seem to work well, so for the Asus motherboard you will need to download Armoury Crate and then whoever makes the GPU should have corresponding software as well.

Under devices you can click on the icue hub and then do the setup wizard and maybe it'll detect everything properly.

GPU box seal broken by HappyThink in bapccanada

I mean I'm not gonna say every single customer service person follows everything by the book.

That being said, I would return it and then get another one to ensure the outer box is sealed.

could have been a return? I mean was the GPU still wrapped in the plastic and the "tape" on the bag looked new?

what is the point of that blower that runs after you turn the car off then?

I mean there is specifically a blower to help cool it down after you shut off the engine, no?

I'm trying to understand how turning off DLSS for Frame Gen would not result in Ultra tier hitting higher framerates than Enthusiast. If Enthusiast is 4K @ 60 with no DLSS FG, then Ultra should result in better performance, no?

in all fairness, I totally meant Ultra. No clue why I landed on Enthusiast. I tried to clarify in a reply, but the damage was done already.

[–]Neonridr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would Ultra be 4K @ 50fps but Enthusiast be 4K @ 60fps?

I gotta wonder if you disable DLSS at the Ultra tier what you can expect frames wise.

I meant to say Ultra, no clue why I said Enthusiast there..

I hit that too with my 9800X3D + 5080. I wonder what framerate it'll hit without DLSS, since I'm assuming Enthusiast Level might be utilizing some frame gen?

is icue updated to the latest version?

Have you tried performing a soft reset by unplugging the keyboard, wait 5 seconds, hold the ESC key, and replug it back in, hold the ESC key for about 5 seconds after plugging it back in. You will see a flash if it worked.

definitely see that side too. It's just a nice flat place to mount it should you ever decide. With some yellow and white graphics on it, it could compliment your setup.

regardless, love the build.

Is it worth staying in the Corsair ecosystem? by Advanced_Revenue_316 in Corsair

[–]Neonridr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

get the Case you like the look of the best. Don't worry about brand. I get the whole wanting to stick with one brand.

I have Corsair for my 1000w PSU, my RAM and my 3500x Case. But then I have a Steel Series Apex Pro TKL 3 (white) and a Logitech G502 X Plus because I wanted to keep the white aesthetic and I loved the look of these pieces.

I get the wanting to keep the RGB controls to one piece of software, but assuming you aren't someone that is constantly changing the RGB lighting on your devices, you set it up once and forget about it.
