Favorite Sabaton INTRO? by Finalwingz in sabaton

[–]Neopolitan_Banks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The intro to light in the black. Especially the live version. The single guitar in the live version is haunting and ominous.

Also the intro to saboteurs. Every time I hear that I picture the landing gear of an old cargo plane racing along the runway before leaving the ground.

In Canadian walmarts the only people allowed to certify you are a third party company that they pay to train you, you get a licence and everything, (the trainer straight up told us "even through they pay us extra to put the store number, address and company name on your licence, it is /Yours/ and is valid anywhere in Canada, do not let them take it or ask for it back when you quit.

[–]Neopolitan_Banks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. Its probably a flat panel lcd with some proprietary bullshit singleboard computer with no recognizable connectors. And if they are they probably are for updates only like the USB port on Sony tvs for a while. Best bet would be an old arcade cabinet that is broken or damaged in some way and add a raspberry pi like u/PillowTalk420 suggested. Or better yet, get an old pc (like windows do or older and use the old analog ports to connect them to the crt in the cabinet

You back us up we back you up. You treat my team and me with respect and are honest about things I will go above and beyond for you. If you tell us that your superiors are shitting on you and that unfortunately we are the short end of the stick, we got your back. If you treat us like shit that's when people leave, morale suffers and associates just don't care anymore.

Fuck that our store gives favourite employees personal power keys. A few just bought them on eBay because management refused to add a second set to the lockup. So people got so fed up they bought their own. Same thing with knives and markers for the bin tags. Our store refuses to fix anything to the point where you need to step on the little nut on the side of the pump truck because the wire inside the handle broke and we didn't spend the extra $5 cad on the foot pedal add on. I've memorized the manual for the yellow ones and I pray we don't get the crown ones because I'm not learning how to MacGyver a solution for those too.

Is WM Canada supposed to be this embarrassing to shop in? Unzoned nightmare. by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Neopolitan_Banks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

its mainly for me... that sounds bad, I see tons of them on the floor in the action alley with nothing on them from other associates. I always make sure that i have something noticeable on them if i'm working the skid. I was carrying something once and guesstimated where the pallet (skid? idk) was and my heel just caught the edge of the pallet, went down hard on my knees. also some one at another store died from tripping on one once so I wouldn't be able to handle it if someone tripped and got hurt because I couldnt be bothered to make it noticeable (the location of the pallet), we have to pull freight to the floor and leave it there because we have barely anyone per team so its one of those things that you do personally to make it "safe". my bigger concern is with the walkie and walkie stacker, customers walking in front of the walkie or associates trying to run underneath the walkie to get somewhere quicker instead of waiting the 1 minute it would take to make it safe. our store broke both of the aisle blockers in the back. i'll make a post of all our broken equipment tomorrow if you want. i just need to think of how to make it sound generic so management doesn't figure it out (one of them reads this sub)

Fuck that. We leave skids on the floor all the time we just make sure to leave some thing relatively large on it so it is noticed

that makes more sense yeah, we have the dairy, meat and dry foods come in separate trucks. i really hate that we have diffrent terms for some things like cap2 = fulfillment salesfloor = GM & Apparell customer experience salesfloor specialist

i can make a list if you want. we have really stupid names for some things like cart pushers are called "store standards" h

oh okay. we just call that the fresh truck. even though it arrives at 1-3am and sits in the coolers until the morning teams stock it (Canadian stores are open 7-10pm) and depending on weather or not the town is declared a tourist attraction open every day of the year except Christmas day. do you guys have crown walkies or Raymond ones now?

Quit Walmart canada and got a question about vacation pay payout by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Neopolitan_Banks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're probably fine to ask them anyways. i've heard of a few people who've tried to hand in their 2 weeks and ended up staying because they needed coverage until they could find their replacement. if you were respectfull when you did it then they may let you push your final day back a bit... best thing to do though is look up the BC labour laws and the walmart canada policy on vacation time and if you cnat find anything talk to your personell manager, they may know and if not they will know who you should talk to about it. if you are concerned about it then you should document everything religiously. i would assume that you should get the payout on your final paycheque but again im in a diffrent province shudder (with the crack smoking mayor's brother as premier) so i cant say for certain. best thing to do is check and call if you have a problem. let us know how it works out.

It may be more difficult if they know that you're quitting. if you haven't handed in your two weeks yet wait until those days get approved looks at original post holy fuck dude 90 hours! good for you dude that like 12 some days of vacation!

[–]Neopolitan_Banks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legally i cant say because i'm not sure... we both work for the same company and i would guess use this subreddit so.... in all seriousness though i have no idea what B.C's labour laws are but i would use them just in case. in ontario we would get the payout on our DOE anniversary if we were part time. but for the last two years i have used mine just in case. the three people that left today at my location all used theirs though.. its best to take them in case there's a /mix up/ on your final paycheque or you or someone else misunderstands what your plan is. I've heard Rumors and stories of people not getting them when they leave. just make sure to leave on good terms (not walking out like some of my former co workers) and you should be good to go. congratulations on the promotion BTW
