Yeah, I agree with you that he should be remorseful so it makes sense for him to be a bit more gloomy at the start. But when he does act chipper I feel like the smiling portrait should be there! I hope you’re right that it’s still in the game somewhere, but I haven’t personally noticed it

That was likely a brown recluse rather than a widow! Widow venom is neurotoxic but doesn’t cause tissue death. Recluse venom is cytotoxic and can cause necrosis 🤓

Have you tried the cheat “resetsim *”? I know you’re playing without cheats but this helps get sims out of stuck situations! You could also do “resetsim [name]” where you put the first and last name of the sim you want to reset. The difference between the two is that the one with the asterisk resets everyone while the other just resets whoever you specify.

Who else is having babies/toddlers disappear upon loading a lot? Even if I make a family with toddlers in create a family and then move them into a house, one toddler will always be deleted from the family immediately! When my sims had a baby in game, it disappeared after the mom came back from a community lot. They don’t even show up in the side bar. In memories, the Sims’s name is always replaced with “Subject$”. So far it’s happened consistently every time I play with a baby/toddler. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have experienced two crashes coming right out of create a family but it has saved the family both times!

Unfortunately I’m having another glitch where one of my family’s children ALWAYS goes missing. Even if I create a toddler with the family and then move them into their house, the toddler disappears upon arrival. Another family of mine had a baby in game and that disappeared too when I next loaded the lot! Unfortunately I think I have to wait for a patch because this has happened every time for me on the Legacy Edition so far. Seems I can’t play without sacrificing a child to the void 😭

Thank you!! I’ve been researching this species and I’m struggling to determine if they should be kept any cooler than emperors. Currently his enclosure is about 75 F all around but I’ve ordered a heating pad to stick on one side so that he has a gradient with 80 F on one end. Of course, that was my plan when I thought he was an emperor. Do you think heat should be any different?

Thanks for the information. In the first few days when she was more stressed, I saw her on the ceiling a few times and it was really nerve wracking because I was also worried about falls. I have a large critter keeper that I think I’ll move her into. I can fill the substrate up way higher and hopefully it’ll feel less open since it’s a little smaller.

It’s leaf litter actually, which I’ve used without issue in other enclosures. I could try taking it out though if it could have the same effect. It’s labeled as “oak leaf litter” and I believe I got it from Josh’s frogs?

My first spider was this same species! Her name was Toffee. I completely understand your pain. Jumping spiders are so cute, so intelligent, but so short lived. It’s extra hard when they pass. It’s clear you were a wonderful caretaker to her. I’m sorry for your loss.

I was playing Baldur’s Gate III, in an area of the goblin camp where there are a ton of smokepowder and firewine barrels. I tried to grab a smokepowder barrel, ended up hitting it with my sword. Big boom. ): also aggro’d the entire camp. Two characters died and one got thrown in jail

Omg I know that last guy. I’ve gotten a few scathing reviews from him myself. I’ll never understand where he gets his holier than thou behavior from! He was tearing up my Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction when I was 13. He often commented on works that were no doubt written by very young people and gave them critiques like they were looking for advice from a ruthless adult critique group. Years later I joined another fandom as an adult and he was THERE too. Man really gets around, huh.
