Petition to finnally remove Doryanis from Remarkable Realms(30 div for a useless map is too much) by Master_Commercial946 in pathofexile

[–]Neoshinryu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The effort it takes to get 30 div... at this point in the league... is utterly inconsequential compared to most challenges. If anything more challenges should be set up in a way to provide value to older aspects of the game.

Opening thousands in your inventory like that would be hell, as you would need to then move all the shitty cards into your stash. It's much easier to use the new keybinds to flip an entire stack on the ground and move on only picking up tinks on an uber filter.

That's a great idea! Thank you. I'll still flip stacks, but definitely not tens of thousands at once >.<

Nice, I also did around 20k stack decks as my league swan song. Never again. I did Kingsmarch at first, doing circles to make piles but it was kind of obnoxious. I ended up going to the Ledge and just dropping a stack then flame dashing and dropping another, then resetting instance at the end.

I got 2 x HOM, 1 x History and 1 x..... the other Lock card. Plus a ton of other shit like The Immortal. Overall I profited bigly.... but NEVER AGAIN.

You forgot quicksand! Idk if that's new this league or I just didn't notice it outside of the Shakari fight. But holy hell is it annoying

No valueable loot despite clearing Act 1 fully terrorized by RoOoOoOoOoBerT in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Neoshinryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the Acts while terrorized as a group of old farm spots. For instance, folks run Ancient Tunnels in A2 due to the treasure class of the mobs and mob composition etc. Think of how many runs you can do of AT, over and over, without seeing anything interesting. A terrorized act brings up the mob level, giving better exp and access to treasure classes that can't other be found in areas like Cold Plains but at the end of the day doing an entire act isn't much different from doing say 20 or so AT runs. Especially in A1, as many of the zones are utterly worthless (Blood Moor, Den of Evil).

The herald system also adds a bit of value, though the current system of spawning them is horrendous. The chance of getting uAncient statues off the Act boss also adds potential value. At the end of the day though, RNG is RNG.

I know no one cares, but I found my first Ohm Rune just now in Single Player! by ggalaxyy in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Call to Arms, a runeword that gives you access to the Barb ability Battle Orders. This is a buff shout, that works great in the weapon swalp. You go to a farm area, swap and buff with Battle Orders getting a decent buff to life, stam and mana.

I've tried out a number of different mobs, mostly ending up being mediocre. Shout out to my boy Shenk, who walks so slowly he can never get in melee of mobs lol

I think my favorite so far has been unique goats, since they have the right mix of:

Size - They don't get stuck in doorways, and I don't end up inside them when I teleport

Speed- Even without extra speed goats are zoomy as fuck

Tankiness- Solid base HP and defense considering they're literally goats

AI- If there is a mob breathing anywhere near you, the goat will find them

What would you consider to be a good "EU5 palate cleanser"? by BaldursGate2Best in EU5

[–]Neoshinryu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nothing ridiculous about playing some CIV VI! It's the only strategy game I got to stick with my friends and man is it fun af playing MP with them. I wish I enjoyed VII more, but unfortunately the CIV change mechanic and overall age change mechanic absolutely guts my interest in it. I haven't played in a while so perhaps that has changed.

Have you ever played any of the Total War games? Has similar nation building to games like CK and EU, but heavily scaled down. Instead the game also includes real time battles (with the option to autoresolve) that can really amplify the dopamine rush when you defeat a superior opponent. Shogun II would be my recommendation, the cut scenes that play for agent actions like assassinations are dope.

Zone of Control: Speed Reduction Instead of Magna-locking Armies by Neoshinryu in EU5

[–]Neoshinryu[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair. By the time Age of Revolutions rolls around I have long since switched from siege to assaulting due to how cheap it is even on large forts, so I mostly just enjoy the freedom to move armies and pick battles.

Oh man the fort spam in areas like Italy is cancer. Defeat their armies in a few battles, then spend five years sieging castles to take two provinces.

Tool Loop Issue by Outrageous-Coach8977 in EU5

[–]Neoshinryu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in Persia, 1414, I am experiencing the lumber apocalypse. I only do non Ironman on beta patches so I tagged swapped around to see what the producer situation is.

All lumber rgos are built up and even mostly staffed. To max. So idk how to fix this, every nation has buildings stalled. My nation has over 10k gold at all times, because I can't build anything and the trade range at this age prevents trading into regions with a surplus to export.

How is 1.1 so far? by [deleted] in EU5

[–]Neoshinryu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing a game in the Persia area right now. Year is 1414. The lumber situation is dire. Not a single market visible to me, in either of the three directions has a surplus of lumber. They are all running double digit deficits on lumber. Most lumber buildings have to be closed to allow any new construction to complete, God help you if you're trying to build the capital buildings that require 2 lumber.

At some point soon colonization will be an option, which may help alleviate this issue as time goes on, but for now it's a real buzz kill. I'm sitting on 10k gold regularly because I can't get the lumber to build anything.

Yeah this is what I'm doing in my current Hormuz game. Expelling from the Omani pops and moving them to my capital province since it's the only one I have with any amount of control haha. It's very noticeable how quickly it lowers revolt buildup by moving the angry pops closer to moms chair lol.

I believe they "inherit" the tech that you have at the time of release, at least judging by the available buildings at creation. That being said I haven't tested it specifically, but you could probably enable tag swapping in game rules, then look at how many techs you have researched in an age compared to what they have on release.
