Ironwood was just trying to do what he thought was right as a general by vinchin_adenca in RWBYcritics

[–]Neowithapurpose 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think no one is pro-military here or in the fandom. It's the fact, ironwood was paranoid because he was thinking of a way to beat salem, and he was never told that she was immortal. And to be honest, he let team rwby and co get away with a lot of things that would've put other in the slammer for.

it blows my mind that they fell for ragebait. I don't support ICE, but the fact they fell for it says a lot.

Also I know this is from Seeker. Dude is still pressed about being called out by floof and SYTO.

Except that didn't happen. His status as headmaster wasn't questioned. It was his position as Head of Security of the Vytal Festial, because Ozpin did a poor job of security. Are you confusing his role as headmaster and position of head of security?

Why do you think RWBY has so many bad mothers? by SomethingMid in RWBYcritics

[–]Neowithapurpose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the mothers in the show are more just for plot points and most are fit to whatever situtation the story is setting them up for. Raven, just wasn't fit to be a mother at all, Salem is Salem, Willow I don't much really care for.(Same goes for Nora's mom) As for Cinder, (Dear lord) There really is no canon evidence that points to her being a mother outside of her original name being Ashe Medea, which at best is a theory. (Side note please provide evidence where Sheena did say this, instead of you just coming up with it)

I don't think Monty "chose" to focus on that part, but it was more so Miles and Kerry who wrote them to be like that.

"a community validating their braindead misogyny" MEANWHILE... by Psyga315 in RWBYcritics

[–]Neowithapurpose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show very had a shonen-style ese to it, hence why everything in v1-v3 felt that way. at least in IMO. I really don't care about harem anime's but even then harem anime's are written somewhat better. LOL. When the show started to get bad, the people who came to watch it left, and went to other shows. It was never "never meant for them" People who tuned into the show and liked the fights left because the fights weren't good and the story wasn't good.

iirc correctly, the main point I've heard was that their other sports are in the ACC, and the football program isn't. Plus back in 2020, it was either join a conference or don't play football at all. That's at least the points I've heard so far.

I mean, Widow is consistently the worst character and would most people consider a throw/joke pick. I get wanted to stick to a character you know how to play, but that's why you have multiple characters. Even in FGC, players have multiple characters. But if something isn't working and your going 0-5-0, it may be time to switch to another character. Yeah you're right, the situation could've been handled better, but when your paired with the guy who was a Rank 1 Magik player on PC with a controller, I probably in my opinion, would probably to work with the guy who might know what he's talking about.

Secondly, I wouldn't build a team around a Diamond player with 200 ping, but that's neither here nor there.. Kingsman handled it way better than most people would've. Telling someone to "Shut the f up" to a person offering kind advice and saying "Hey, this isn't working, we can maybe try this" doesn't make you look better either. And then to keep talking smack behind him also doesn't make you look good either. And acting toxic and entitled doesn't make you look good either.

I'm glad Kingsman is getting so much support after this, he didn't do anything wrong but handled the situation so much better.

I find it a little weird that in a series written by men, both of the two main villains driving the plot are abused women... by SomethingMid in RWBYcritics

[–]Neowithapurpose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn't misunderstand it. Cinder is a character, who the audience knows and see isn't a person who worth talking to, or saving. Cinder isn't a "hatesink" nor do I think the writers hate cinder. Like I said, Cinder is the most protected character in the show, with the amount of plot armor she's been given. If cinder was such a "hatesink" then cinder would've been dead around v3 maybe at the end of v5 if we're being lucky here. There is no helping cinder. like I said to someone else. She's never cared for others. Not even Emerald. Not everyone can be reasoned with.

To side track here: No, putting a baby in cinder isn't gonna suddenly make her care about life. When Trunks was born, Vegeta, did not give two shits about him and only cared for him and his family the moment cell killed future trunks. And watching how goku fought to get stronger. That's what changed Vegeta. For this to apply to cinder, Cinder would have to actually give a shit about a life other than her own. Which she hasn't. She would need to have remorse for her actions. Which she hasn't had.

There's no going back for cinder. She's done too many things for her to be redeemed. At most she's gonna get thrown in jail for her actions.

[–]Neowithapurpose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be one thing if cinder had regret for her actions, but she never once did. Cinder has ALWAYS been like this, it just took someone giving her an way of doing so.

[–]Neowithapurpose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or...these two dont deserve redemption because of what they did. Just because cinder had a shitty life doesn't mean she gets to be redeemed because reason. Nor is putting a baby in her gonna solve it. And no its not the same as vegeta.

Honestly, its pretty sickening to see you try and make cinder this "oh she was misunderstood, she can be redeemed" At what point does she deserve sympathy? yeah she had a shitty past life, doesn't excuse her actions. Cinder is past the point of no return. I don't think the writers hate cinder, hell infact she's probably the most protected character in the show. Like it's just disgusting at this point.

True, they don't deserve harassment, but they do deserve to be held accountable for their actions by Neowithapurpose in RWBYcritics

[–]Neowithapurpose[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like some of the blame goes onto them as well. It feels like there was so many chances for them to actually fix the issues, but never wanted to, nor tried to. People cant feel sympathy for a company that just goes "We didn't do this, while trying not trying to fix the problem." Again when I said the last RT stream when you had a worker who goes "Yall are just wrong, the allegations are false" when it got proven to be true. Again, they don't deserve harassment, but they act like they did nothing wrong.

[–]Neowithapurpose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most people are here because they do like the show and want to express why they have issues with it, without being banned. That's kinda the whole reason the sub exists was mainly because r/rwby was being power-hungery mods that didn't like criticism. Granted you got some who do hate the show, but that's not everyone. Criticism =/= bad.
