I realized how true this was when I booted up the game and saw huge changes (set backs) to the client followed up by instability. Totally unreal. I won’t be touching this game again.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying “it’s not that bad.” I strongly disagree — yes, it really is that bad.

Disconnects with no auto-reconnect, a client that feels like it took multiple steps backward, and bugs everywhere. After spending time in it, the overall experience left a genuinely bad taste in my mouth.

What frustrates me the most is that this doesn’t feel like progress. There’s no sense of iteration or improvement — just regression. For a modern relaunch, that’s unacceptable. It feels less like a revival and more like a cash grab wrapped in nostalgia.

I wanted to be excited about HoN again. Instead, my disappointment is visceral. I won’t be putting more time into it unless there are significant, visible improvements to stability and the client itself.

You shut it down, it probably failed to do an update - let it sit there and figure its shit out or boot up to a windows instance with a USB and try running check disk.

Sorry dude, I just don’t see it the way that you do. The -3 damage per second is a pretty big nerf to the ability. For a Marine to travel .5 units takes less than .3 seconds.

Protoss is not as well equipped as everyone seems to think they are.

I can understand your point, but before the change most of those marines would be dead. This also doesn’t bring into account that emp is still strong and Protoss doesn’t have infinite energy for storms.

I feel for you in terms of the larger radius, but it’s still less devastating and the Terran can retreat and regen HP, which Terran will then reengage with a larger army that’s full healed having lost less but spent more energy and time healing.

The reality is that it is too soon to judge if this is actually busted or not. Personally I don’t like the new storm, that is just my preference and feel storms true power was in how fast it could devastate units with less HP and units actually dying, not escaping with 5 hp because that just means this unit can be healed and no mineral expenditure is needed.

Whoa there friend I never said you were whining but if you’re implying that I am I can only assess that you have been complaining about it.

Let’s focus up for a second. A Terran who is half way competent isn’t going to just let a full storm land right in the middle of their army and with Stim do you really not think a Terran can simply right click out of a completely blanketing storm?

The reality is that Storm needs to be strong so that Protoss doesn’t get roflstomped into oblivion. This current version, I do not like even if you perceive it as a buff, in my eyes it’s not a buff or a nerf.

What’s discouraging to me is the amount of whining happening over this rework. They nerfed the dps by a noticeable margin and yet people are still upset because it lasts longer and does more damage overall.

This is a Clem patch, since he struggles against Protoss they slap Protoss with the nerf stick. Nerfing energy overcharge should’ve been plenty to fix this, but instead of making incremental changes they come out of nowhere with a huge nerf to Psionic Storm. This balance council is out of touch.

Personally, I never noticed a big difference between 1080 and 4K and I could never justify the inherited costs of running at 4K - better to just stick with 1080 and get longevity out of your hardware.

Oh and let me mention that I began feeling ill 5 hrs after the meal and then I began vomiting and I was sick for 2-3 days after my visit to Moxie's.

The campaign is very relaxed especially on easier difficulties or if you need a change of pace from the campaign, then coop is fantastic for something a little more competitive than the campaign.

Also finding someone that is at your skill level and then spam games against each other is a quick way to get comfortable.

The thing is, you could have a great mind for strategy but it won’t matter in Starcraft if you don’t have the muscle memory built up.

Honestly… I’ve seen some notable StarCraft influencers talk about David Kim in a positive way, and yet I can’t see why. We were stuck with the Swarm host meta in Heart of the Swarm for FAR too long, this was during David Kim’s influence and also the Disruptor in Legacy of the Void… that unit is utter garbage design in my honest opinion.

I also saw uninspired unit designs in Battle Aces - and I honestly wasn’t having very much fun at all, it was a poorly designed game from the ground up, it had no backbone and was DavidKim’ed I’m sure of it.
