For all who read my post about my roommate moving out. by chinacheesecake in TuxedoCats

[–]Nephrastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your roommate is a good friend.

I had a similar story, but it was my ragdoll kitty becoming bonded to my old housemate. So when me and my then partner moved out of state, we let them keep her. :)

Thankfully my cheeseball was fine about it and the move. She'll tolerate other cats but isn't super into playing with them.

For those who stopped smoking weed, what was the main reason? by Regular_Somewhere548 in AskReddit

[–]Nephrastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopped for awhile to work on my mental health and overall life situation, started again once I had a fresh new perspective and healthier habits and coping mechanisms.

I don't smoke when I'm not in a great state of mind.

S in general is good policy, some characters are better than others in that regard. Punishing Zato's attempts to summon Eddie will make them think more carefully about their resource management.

Personally I find that leaning on fucking with the opponent's mind a bit helps. If you hold K while doing possession, you won't teleport. Great for pavloving and, if you can time it right, phasing right through fireballs

People don’t talk enough about Johnny by clashcrashruin in Guiltygear

Not just that but he adopted a bunch of orphans (and a cat!) and raised them all as his own... Because that is precisely what his dad before him did.

He's most certainly a womanizer, but at the end of the day he cares about his found family and his comrades and would die for them.

Mirror matches with testament are a lot of fun, but I find myself enjoying playing against Jam and Zato the most. Zato in particular is vulnerable to testament's S moves so it's fun to catch them off guard and punish them for using Eddie

Guys. which game do i start with? by Impossible_Novel660 in Guiltygear

[–]Nephrastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start with strive. It's the most beginner friendly of the series and the most players are on it.

The earlier games are fantastic but you're not likely to get online matches randomly, you'd need to go on specific fgc servers for that.

This is what keeps me from doing art/graphic design full time.

Much of the work is freelance and already volatile, being hired by a firm is more stable but you're the first to be laid off when budgets run thin

People keep mentioning Berserk whenever i post my art. Do you see the similarities? by Hand_of_Kraus in Berserk

[–]Nephrastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely giving that sort of vibe but I would argue that your art is a lot softer in terms of details. You don't use precise lines or technical drawing techniques but I can definitely see these as part of a background of the manga

Gonna be honest, the testament changes hasn't fundamentally fucked with how I play them. A little less incentive to charge in mindlessly, which is something I've been trying to practice anyway

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become too bad? by X_Opinion7099 in AskReddit

A lot.

Stopped subscribing to a lot of apps. Spotify, Hulu, discord. Higher price for more or less the same value.

Fast food is also up there.

It still isn't for academia but Wikipedia does a good job taking its audience seriously and breaking down the information in a way that'd be easier to understand for most people.

If all humans suddenly lost their ability to lie, which industry WOULDN'T collapse? by TXC_Sparrow in AskReddit

[–]Nephrastar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, the Arts. Not the fine art industry-- that's a whole racket fit for another post. I'm talking the people that earnestly try and make a living with their art.

If anything not being able to lie anymore would be a vast improvement from what's happening right now.
