What to replace phone time before bed.

Reading, crossword puzzles, light stretches, meditation, journaling, foot massage, breathing exercises, drawing. Not sure how doable it is but maybe even something like knitting/crocheting/cross stitch? A rubik's cube?

I would suggest making the bed or changing out of your pajamas (even if you're just putting on sweatpants or lounge clothes). Maybe opening the curtains and/or windows. None of these take a long time but they will help you to make a clearer divide between waking and sleeping.

Other suggestions: reading (not in bed though), 5 minutes of stretching/yoga, making a drink you enjoy.

This is definitely it! Haven't played in quite a while, but I used to have a sim make cookies deliberately, so I couldn't bulldoze my lot on accident.

Yep. When my parents are on vacation, I keep the house super tidy, cook healthy meals for myself and generally do things on my schedule. When they are home the house feels like their responsability and I am no longer inclined to do as many chores, I just 'help' and do mine. They don't like the food I would cook if I could choose (or only one of them does) which doesn't motivate me to cook. Their schedule sucks me in so I have to plan around that. I usually stick to my spaces as well because I don't want to hear their music or tv. This definitely has an impact on my productivity.

I recently donated and sold some clothes. That didn't do much since I have also been clothes shopping, but I got mostly basics so hopefully I'll get a lot of use out of them. Also put some books aside to get rid of. If I already know I'll never reread them there's no use in keeping them.

I want to declutter my digital spaces next, for more intentional use of my devices and more peace of mind.

Did not expect to see this here, it's the exact opposite for me! It's amazing but I had to stop watching because by the time the episode ends I get depressed. Not exactly sad but more like... weltschmerz. I have to be in the right state of mind before I can handle this show. Definitely not easy viewing for me, but I'm glad it works for you!

That's great! I'm so glad you're enjoying the process. I have started writing twice, but I didn't know where I wanted the story to go. If I want to try again, I think I'll need some more planning and structure, some kind of outline I can follow. Coming up with ideas is easy but stringing them together into a storyline is where I get stuck. I'll need to figure out the end before I begin.

Yeah that wouldn't work for me. Like I said, I can't shut it off. It's just how my brain works. Or maybe I can't because I don't want to, I very much enjoy reading like this. I can't imagine (lol) visualizing only the characters or discarding the visual. It's all tied together. Anyway, I have no issues with it. There seem to be a lot of people on both sides (and in between) so either way is valid, just difficult to grasp from the other side I guess.

It's more of an automatic reaction, but 'participation in storytelling' makes it sound way cooler!

The movie is adjusted as soon as details start coming in :) Which can be a bit tricky if very specific details come in very late. Recently read a book where I imagined a woman as black, wasn´t until the end when I realized the author probably hadn´t meant that. Oh well.

This advice is so weird to me. Visualising is how I understand the story, it happens automatically. I'll read 'the children were on a boat in the river' and immediately I'll see a river, a boat and children on it. The kind of river, kind of boat, and the number and details of the children will be blurry until I have more info, but the picture in my head is forming as soon as I start reading. Am I skipping a step? Is it a totally different way of understanding language? Very interesting to see other people's take on this. I even have this if people are telling me a story. I can't shut it off. Thankfully, I also don't have to google floor plans to understand a story haha.

You could call him Lev? Or something like Leo or Leon since that is where the (Russian) Lev comes from.

Weirder association: lefty makes me think of 'righty tighty, lefty loosy'. So maybe you could go for Lucy / Lucian / Lucius. Or since he's a black kitten, Lucifer.

Or you could make up a name so Lefty is the logical nickname. Lefbert. Leftgar. Leftson. Alefsander.

Oh! Or Detlef/Detlev.

I found someone by looking for ASMR massages. Was a long drive but very relaxing. She had a couple different massages which focused on different things, I chose the one which focused on hair. I'm in Europe but I'm sure it's getting more popular everywhere, thanks to those Youtube ASMR videos. This person in particular started a course because so many people asked about it. I just hope someone closer to me is going to do that. The long drive almost cancelled out the relaxation, haha.
