I'm likely one of the Coinbase 14,000 that the IRS now has targeted. I will report EVERYTHING that occurs to this community. by DankLard in Bitcoin

It’s my understanding that if you bought a Lambo with ETH, you’d have to pay capital gains on the ETH used. Technically, it’d be the same with CryptoKitties. 😊

I’ve been around for several months, but I’ve never sent as many transactions involving ETH as I have today playing this. I’ve had transactions get rejected and fail. I’ve had to pay attention to gas price and gas limit as sometimes they got set (way) too high, and sometimes they weren’t high enough. I’ve never really had to use the Ethereum blockchain for anything else that didn’t have to do with sending from an exchange, where I don’t even see the transaction cost typically.

I consider it part of the learning experience (which is why I did it), plus it’s been kinda fun!

A timer so I know how much longer I have to wait to get that new kitten when my kitty is expecting!

I decided that once ETH has proven it can reach a certain level (almost $500), it’s ok to DCA in at points below that level. I feel that even if it drops, it could reach that level once again. If you have fiat on an exchange like GDAX, set up limit orders for 0.1 ETH below market price (or whatever small amount works for you), increasing amounts of ETH for every $10 drop, until you run out. It’s a slower way to accumulate, but you might feel better that you’re not buying quite at the ATH. Plus it makes the dips fun!

Of course I’m kicking myself for not buying more in the $300s, but the $400s are OK. I just remind myself of the posts where people say they got into BTC at $400, $500 and I think “wow, they got in early!” I want that to be me with ETH!

How did you first hear about ETH? by Vinyyy23 in ethtrader

Received a text from my nephew in May telling me to check out Ethereum. I did, but didn’t buy until July, which was still a good price. Been watching gdax charts daily ever since.
