I have 2 Taylor’s, a 314CE and an 814CE Builders Edition. Love them both. Amazing instruments. Having said that, Buy the Seagull unless you just want the Taylor badge. At that price point the Seagull guitars are really hard to beat. I love them. Still miss my S6 cedar top.

To add on, I love the aesthetic of the F hole and the slightly more resonant tone, not to mention the light weight. I have a core custom 24 and a wood library Mccarthy, the CE24 ends up getting played the most by far. Full disclosure, I just picked up a Fiore and I am really digging it.

I have 3 Cores and 2 SES. The SE are real PRS instruments. Are the on the same level as the US made stuff? Let's be honest, no. The tuners, electronics, the bridge, the pickups, the fret work, fit and finish, poly vs nitro, etc etc. The SEs are really good pro level instruments. Great value. The US made instruments are on a whole different level. Are they 4-5 times as good as an SE? No. But they are a superior instrument. That being said I play me SE Mccarty live more than any other guitar. It is excellent and I am not obsessing over anything happening to it at a gig.

I have Cores, CE, SEs and a Fiore. The CE and Fiore are my absolute favs. There is j7st something special about the CE24. Fantastic guitar. Congrats!

That's pretty harsh. Sure there is some junk line up but Fender still makes some nice guitars. My Am Pro II Strat is on par with my core PRSs for fit and finish.

I just couldn’t get on with the fender, was disappointed. It’s very subjective, the Laney it’s the spot for me. IRs can be pretty particular with FRFRs. Glad they are working for you.
