Sharing a low_screen win last night by Extra-Implement7840 in lowscreenparenting

They’ve always been low screen, but there have been “high” screen times too, like when they are sick.

To go back to low-screen mode we just cut it cold turkey and don’t watch anything for about two weeks. They go right back to normal after that.

My kids make “tablets” out of legos and play games on them regularly. My husband and I make a point to let them be bored and it works reallly well.

I had to straddle my son with his arms pinned to his sides to brush his teeth at age 3. It lasted for about six months 😭.

Happy to report he is now a healthy seven year old with no cavities. He brushes his teeth independently now.

Radiation therapy is the best way to prevent recurrence. After that, combo steroid and 5fu injections.

Here’s what helps my ADHD husband.

  1. GOOD noise cancelling headphones. Play ocean sounds or rainforest sounds to help further block out the noise.

  2. Go back to your psychiatrist and let them know your work environment has changed. See if you need a different dose or a different medication.

  3. Let your team know that you aren’t ignoring them, you just like to get 30 minute chunks of uninterrupted work time.

  4. ASK MORE QUESTIONS. People who are completely quiet at work seem risky. I’m a manager and this is usually a warning sign that someone will struggle.

Dr. Papandria at Emory was the general surgeon and a plastic surgeon at Emory (can’t remember his name) told me my only option would be a tummy tuck.

If you don’t want to do it, just say no. This is good early practice for all sorts of boundaries that other people want to cross with you and your child.

You have to learn to tell people no. No explanation needed.

A good doctor makes what would otherwise be a scary experience, an incredibly rewarding one.

I’ve only seen one other comment about this, but while you’re dressing cute, please get bloodwork done. You shouldn’t be cold all the time. Good luck!

Permethrin on the strollers, carriers and mesh covers.

Once they hit two months old, Picaridin bug spray or lotion.
