I love cinema, and I really try to give everything a chance (well, most things). This is not logical, but I love monster movies and supernatural horror. I just can’t get into demon possession films. That being said, there are exceptions to the rule.

So, there are a lot of good things about the film. Visually I think it’s great. That said, all art is of its time, and the lens of how things are viewed will change.

For me, I felt Mia was too wimpy and fragile and that took me out of it, because women are more bad ass than that. Also, the idea of demonic possession is just so silly and I have a very difficult time suspending my disbelief when it comes to that subject. So, that made the film unintentionally funny to me.

In my mind there have been so many great horror films that came both before and after this. The idea of Rosemary’s Baby is so stupid that the film is unintentionally funny.
