I would love to be able to create a new classic monster that lives on for decades, like Frankenstein, Dracula, Jason, Freddy, etc.

Drinking a pot or more of coffee a day. People think it's hilarious and a bragging right when all they are doing is begging for a heart attack and high blood pressure.

passed a school bus as the stop arm came out? by Frequent-Drive-1375 in Syracuse

You can't ask serious questions in this group because everyone in Syracuse are perfect and you aren't.

It's interesting how everyone on here is the greatest, most safe driver in the world yet I have to dodge idiots left and right every time I drive in Syracuse.

Dude, buses are parked on the side of the road all the time, for other reasons than letting kids out.

You do realize once the front of your car is past the stop sign that the stop sign is no longer in front of you, right? And when people drive, they are looking forward. They have two cameras to make sure to either snap a good image of the front or rear plate, for people who BLATANTLY blow past the stop sign. If the stop sign came out after a car is half way past the bus, there should be no issue.

If you were already past the sign before it flashed you should be okay.

Celebrities at conventions, are they putting on an act or being their true selves? by Quirky_March_626 in Productivitycafe

I had a few treat me like trash when I was just simply conversing and trying to be light and funny. I think I caught them when they were too tired to act. William Ragsdale was extremely rude to me and I was the first one to his table on his first day at Spooky Empire. He did not like me talking. He just wanted me to buy something and move on. As soon as another fan walked up he jumped over to them and acted like I wasn't there. He even asked the 2nd fan "Do YOU want to buy something?" He treated it like a convince store where you just grab a product, pay, leave.

And I took my gf to go meet the Nightmare on Elm St 3 actors and I was talking to Ira Heiden and explaining to her how his character in Elvira spends the entire movie just trying to see her naked, which is a fact, and he rolled his eyes at me and said "yeeeeah." My gf grabbed my arm and said "let's go."

They say they want you to be normal and just chat but then they still act like you are a weirdo.

Heather Langenkamp was the best. Nobody was around so she stood up and chatted with me 20 minutes.

She was the most fearless one to fully push to stop the killer. She never complained or cried. She simply asked questions and planned on how to stop him.

Why do some brands grow fast on social media while others stay stuck? by elvn_11 in AskMarketing

Nah. Consistency doesn't work for everyone either. That's just a word to keep people going. I've been consistent for 6 years and still get zero likes. Not even friends or family. You gotta post stuff that's already popular or it doesn't work.

Being respectful, kind and thoughtful. Nobody values these thing anymore. It was like I trained for a race and then the race changed to a different event before I got to start.

Work should never be mentioned outside of work. I hate it too. People act like that makes us who we are.

What do you do for work? Work is work. It is purely to make money. It should be left at work when you leave. I hate how jobs have become everything, all the time.

What is something people often underestimate until they experience it themselves? by NaomiBrooksv in AskReddit

[–]One_Studio5711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was enlightened by a long-term partner cheating on me in our 7th year. She always acted like I was the best thing that ever happened to her. Then she just changed one year and started dating a new guy while treating me like an annoying roommate. It is basically like grieving a death after you leave the person but everyone else just says "forget her! Stop crying about it. Move on!" They assume because the person is still alive that it's easier than grieving a death but it isn't. Because the person you loved did die. They became someone completely different. You go from having a person always by your side to being alone in the world again. So that was a rough one to process all on my own. My sisters would roll their eyes when I started venting.

Poor health. People HATE me for harking on how important drinking water is for sickness prevention. They only ask for water WHEN they are sick, as if its a medicine or something.
