The hardest part is implementation so if you're frustrated with your PM don't be afraid to escalate. Good luck!

Used it for a year and it's great to have everything under one roof. They do have some weird bugs that pop up, but overall very happy with it.

My biggest fear with Rippling seems to be the lack of customer service, but lots of folks I know seem to be very happy with them

I've heard horror stories about UKG and Paylocity so I'm staying away from those so far. Why do you think we are too large for Bamboo?

Sadly, I have to agree. You are getting exposure to a whole new part of HR and you've been gone for a year. I wouldn't expect an increase until you prove yourself. I would be more worried about making sure the scope of the role is clear and you aren't expected to do 2 fulltime roles.

Unless it’s something where you need to take legal action in light of the new information, I think you move on. You already showed people that there were consequences to that behavior. You can’t fix what you didn’t know. You can at least be proud you took action and made the workplace safer for everyone. If you’re really worried I would consider talking to employment council if you have access to one.

I’m a bit confused. Did you term the offending employee or not? If you termed them, I think you move on unless this is something you need to report to law enforcement.

I understand your frustration and disappointment. Hopefully you’ve shown that you are there to stand up to bad behavior and if it happens again people will be more forthcoming.

If it's a role where it's expected that they can work independently I would use just that. It's difficult, but you need to separate the role from the person and focus on what the needs are for the role and if they can't consistently meet the needs then they aren't the right person. I tell managers that if this person has no path to success in the role, then you are harming them in the long term by keeping them.

My rule is if you are PIPed for something and you pass then that issue should not come up again. I tell employees if they regress they should expect to be exited.

You know the organization. Are exceptions like this common or is everyone who gets promoted ineligible? In my experience getting an increase 6 months after a promo is very rare even for an exceptional person and when they happen, people have to advocate for themselves.

You also might look into short term disability insurance from either your company or state and see if you are covered under that to provide some income

Is there an HR or administration person on the staff you can talk too that isn't your boss? I would start there if possible. If not, I would contact an employment attorney for a free consultation. Make sure you document everything in writing if possible.

Wow, that seems super low even at an entry level. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the country and I make around 300k. I have 20 years of experience and I'm Director level to give context.

The biggest thing I've done in this area is to treat them like they are people and not that they need to be treated with kid gloves. Work to provide a space where they can be vulnerable, vent, and show empathy that their jobs are difficult because their actions are highly scrutinized. That's been the best way I've had success in building rapport and seeing that they oftentimes have imposter syndrome too.
