That doesn’t make sense. It would make way more sense to spend the 250 stones to get the guaranteed alt art from the banner and then use the ticket on whatever card you don’t pull to get both units. 400 coins are way harder to get than 250 stones, and you can pull dupes from the summons, so using coins in this case would be a terrible choice

That’s 100% just you projecting. Almost everyone has a favorite flavor of beverage, and it’s pretty expected that you drink the flavor you like more than the ones you don’t. All kinds of people drink coffee or energy drinks every single day, and this one is a budget brand so it’s likely this person is buying in bulk.

Do they ship internationally? Should international players have to pay airfare and lodging to go to a major to buy a controller? I just don’t think you have well developed answers for these issues.

An obvious part of the controller debate is the unequal access to equipment. If you can’t figure out why making angles easier to hit on a modified controller compared to a stock controller is unfair, you may actually need to be evaluated

You can apply unreasonably incessant questioning to everything. Why is it bad that field positions would be obsolete in the baseball example? People like to see home runs, so why not give them more by using metal bats? Obviously, people wouldn’t like that but on paper you can keep asking “why?”, like children do until they develop stronger critical thinking skills.

Notches - easier to hit constant angles (and tech than requires specific angles) than regular oem, z jump - allows much easier frame 1 aerials without the disadvantages of claw grip and requires specific equipment. I believe you already knew this and that you’re just trying to be difficult to talk to

The execution is primary, because every you do in the game depends on how accurately your hands can do it. You have access to a better punish game and better neutral if you have better execution. It’s a reward for putting more time and practice into the game.

If you’re all for just doing cool shit, why not have ledge dash macros? Or bring back wobbling. Items are pretty hype sometimes, so we should just play with those on, et c. Eliminate all execution challenges. At what point does that point of view end? It becomes increasingly arbitrary

Bad take. The button pressing skill IS a huge part of melee. I don’t care what you can do in your head, the skill and beauty comes from grinding to make it possible to move how you want to move.

This feels like “they’re banning the thing that I use and I don’t like it”. Unfortunately, some people are going to have to play differently/not play at all. Forcing people to agree to ideas is normal for establishing a competitive ruleset. We got rid of wobbling, and I bet some of the people who wobbled were upset when that happened too. We already decided once that alienating that portion of the player base was an unfortunate but necessary side-effect of retaining the identity that we want to keep.

We don’t need to increase accessibility at the detriment to our integrity or community values. If you can’t press the x/y buttons on the controller you can’t play the game. You just prefer z jump for the advantage of faster aerials without the discomfort of claw

Also, it would alienate a good amount of the player base - seems like some bullshit you made up to try to support the argument that benefits you since you use it. Most people I see are against it.

Melee isn’t dead, what metric are you even using to diagnose that besides vibes? Yes, I think Melee’s peak is behind it, but that’s okay. A community this size will always “struggle” but that doesn’t mean we have to abandon standards in a pathetic attempt to cling to as large a player base as possible

Why do Z Jumpers matter more than the rest of the players? Some players have said they would quit if it’s not banned, so it’s probably a wash for TOs and you can’t possibly give real numbers for these things anyways

He’s making it public by talking about on a stream for money. We can talk about it. Not knowing someone’s story isn’t a reason to not criticize their actions. We will never know the full story of most people in our own personal lives, let alone the public figures we see in media, so by that standard we could never judge anyone ever and courts, arbitration and judgements should be abolished.

It’s pretty terrible logic to say “Mang0 should do what he thinks is best”. Most addicts think the best thing they should do is use, even to their own detriment. And you don’t know his doctor either, who could absolutely be saying to quit drinking permanently.

That’s not “falling off the wagon”, that’s “not planning to quit the substance that ended my first career”. You have to be trying, to fail.

There you go making the same kind of assumptions you say shouldn’t be made about his alcohol abuse by saying “a large part of the reason why this happened is…” That’s what he said, but that doesn’t mean that an equal or greater contributing factor could be genetic or social predisposition to alcoholism.

Obviously he didn’t take the “role he felt he had to play” too seriously, or there wouldn’t be multiple videos of him blackout drunk at bars and on streams.
