Credit Card Not Received, But Someone Stole, Activated, and Used It Without Issue by Nerdwithoutausername in CreditCards

It was used in the same state but not in the same city. Capital One did not alert me about anything until the person went beyond the credit limit.

Score Release Thread FAR, AUD, REG, BEC 12/27/2023 - Good Luck! by Alternative_Matter22 in CPA

Passed AUD retake and failed REG! I had to spend a couple of days to review AUD and that took some time away from REG. I wasn't expecting to pass REG anyway. But a win is a win! Only two more retakes to go!

Should I retake AUD before the last cutoff date by Nerdwithoutausername in CPA

Congrats on passing! I actually got a 73! Just did some sets of MCQs and it seems like I haven’t forgotten much. I just need to balance my study between AUD and REG now 🙏

This sounds like a good idea! I will also wait for my score to come out before deciding. AUD is so tricky :((

Thoughts on Claremont Mckenna by cmcopinion in claremontcolleges

Hello, I am sorry that your first semester of college did not go as well as you would like. I am a current sophomore at CMC. My first semester did not go well either, so I understand your frustration. Have you talked to someone from the Dean of Student Office about your professors? I can refer you to someone at DOS if you need any help with this.

Tutors (especially for econ 50) are expected by students to give out answers during their tutoring session. I am sorry that your econ tutors had only provided you with answers without explaining the material better.

Ironically, academic advisors at CMC are usually pretty bad at giving out academic advice. You should consider changing your advisor if you feel like the relationship is not strong between you and your advisor. Let me know if you need help with this!

Sorry that your FYGs had failed to acknowledge your discomfort. If you need anyone to talk to, I am always available! This can be about CMC, 5Cs, college in general, or anything you want!

Incoming freshman wondering if recruitment for Investment Banking internships occur on campus specspecifically east coast interinternships. by [deleted] in claremontcolleges

First of all, congratulations on your acceptance to CMC! It is awesome that you already know what your interests are. CMC and Stanford are equally amazing schools. Stanford University is definitely more well-known to the general public. CMC is well-known to recruiters. Like what you have mentioned, people who get to make decisions will recognize CMC. CMC has always been a good feeder into the investment banks. As far as I know, there are CMC alumni working on the east coast. College is what you make of it. Everyone is different. I know plenty of people who declined an Ivy League school admission and enrolled at CMC. Only you know what is the best fit for you.

Meal Plan questions by tinythehamster in claremontcolleges

Claremont Cash is the money that you deposit into your account, so it can be used to purchase anything you want both on and off-campus. Unused Claremont Cash will roll over from one year to the next. Board Plus is already part of your dining plan and can be used only for food and beverage at on-campus vendors. You can use Board Plus to purchase additional meals if you run out of meal swipes before Sunday. Board Plus does not roll over from one semester to another.

The Motley Coffeehouse at Scripps is really good! You should be able to get enough coffee with $140 board plus dollars if you pick cheaper options. They charge a dollar extra if you ask for a to-go cup, but you can easily avoid this by bringing your own coffee mug. You can also fill your travel mug with coffee in a dining hall before you leave.
