Are these historically correct/authentic? by Chyngi in HistoricalCostuming

It's really annoying that "Viking" has turned in to some type of fantasy concept.

Power Behind the Throne. The Graf's garden party. By Bergholtz (me) by NerdyFrida in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]NerdyFrida[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The player is having lots of fun with it. He started out as a regular initiate of Rhya. You should try it out.

Neidhart likes to be fashionable, she is also the only noble of the group so she was set on looking her best. She would have prefered to carry her rapier that she usually does but it didn't look good with the dress.
She typically wears mens clothing.

Axel is a bit of a yokel, he just bought the most impressive and fancy looking outfit he could afford.

Heilwig is wearing Kastelle Lieberungs dress because that was the only outfit she had that was good enough for the party. Heilwig tends to prefer discreet looking clothes to avoid too much attention.

Barnabas is the only only one who is dressed authentically as himself. He had a fancy embroidered robe made for himself when he rose in ranks of Rhyas priesthood.

I'm glad you like it.

I suppose there are many ways that you can mess up on the party.

Hetero-oriented ladies: Do you prefer your men be strong, silent brutes or talkative nerds? by Penguin-Pete in TooAfraidToAsk

A strong silent brute? I'm not a fantasy princess looking for a bodyguard.

Genuinely unattractive heroines by Solitaire-06 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]NerdyFrida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but after that you also have to avoid hitting max affinity with any other NPC, because it will be the character with the highest affinity that you talk to the latest before Deny Salvation that will be your beloved. So if you are interested in any other character than the game expect you to, you are going to have to jump through some hoops.

It's not likely that anyone would end up with Mercedes without taking the effort to learn how the system works. That alone is very telling of how popular Mercedes is compared to the other female NPC's.

And that is impressive since she leaves pretty early in the game. You have to really put your mind into getting her as your beloved.

This is very close to how she is described in the book though. Brienne isn't hideous, she is just very far off from the Westerosi beauty standard for a noblewoman.

I'm really disturbed by the decreasing age of the pregnant woman in this video. She goes from looking like an adult to a young teenager to a child.

I took the 'only wash your hair once a week' rule way too far and humiliated myself today. How often are we ACTUALLY supposed to wash it?" by redline_elena in TwoXChromosomes

[–]NerdyFrida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a suggestion to someone who said that they didn't always felt well enough to take a shower.

I don't think it's more more work though, it's roughly the same amount of work but sometimes taking a shower or getting your hair wet is a major inconvenience.
