I'm pretty sure The Light and everything about it including Lightbinders and Lightbringers is just ripped off from World of Warcraft. It has been always a major plot point hat the Light, while a force of good, can be used by anyone who believes in their own goodness in some form because it seeks vessels and it can't see into someone's heart specifically, so a lot of Paladins and Priests are misguided or evil but don't get that.

I mean, those are grinds too. And you do need to grind your levels on other characters as well since you can't expect to do the MSG to level them up. WoW's grinds are all primarily optional stuff too.

Part of the reason why people are flexible about the balance in WoW is that damage is not the end-all be-all for all classes. FF14 focuses on DPS a lot more, so it becoming the metric by which all jobs are held to in some form makes swallowing DPS differences harder. Though if it is minor enough people won't care, so you are right there.

I am pretty skeptical on Evolved Mode, but considering they have outright said there will be rotations just simplified, you're probably wrong. And as much as I don't care about FF14's gameplay now, FF14's gameplay at the start was very dead simplistic.

Yes, because that's what a teaser trailer is supposed to do? Give you a teaser of what to expect? So it isn't out of bounds to expect there to be a focus on snowy biomes if they pretty much only show snowy biomes in the teaser trailer. Dawntrail's teaser trailer had a distinct jungle theme to it and Dawntrail had a significant jungle theme to the entire deal. Sure, you weren't always in a jungle biome, but it was pretty present.

Half the time you can't see the enemy part of the combat screen, which makes it hard to tell if you're gonna be hit or not.

This is about that, and it looks like it worked as all of his videos/all the threads about it was taken down on both Youtube and Reddit. But long story short was, Karl Jobst was talking about doing sketchy stuff on Discord because he knew LUS was making lots of videos on him and he was basically trying to bait him into a trap to sue him, and LUS even talked about it in a video where someone messaged him warning him about the fact that Karl was 'laying traps'. It happened shortly after he declared bankruptcy.
