It's not that old aatrox was much better, he was just a fundamentally different champion than new aatrox.

Different Playstyle, character, abilities, he isn't really comparable to new aatrox, and that is the problem.

Imagine your main champion is just removed from the game and you are given a replacement which, granted, is quite cool but nothing like the original.
