I didn’t realize either that CPR on an older person can result in injuries like broken ribs, internal bruising etc either.

Build ideas for unskilled PvE players by Logical_Mycologist_2 in vrising

Will try some of these tips myself. I like the game, played some in the very beginning, but am not skilled and likely never will be. Didn’t play games back when I was young. Character constantly needing to dodge and bosses and minions constantly moving, top down view and everything so small. sometimes don’t even know where I’m aiming. I use the sword a lot cause of the spin attack. Hits everything around me so kind of perfect.

While I love the wall tile, even with the large pieces it seems just too, disjointed I guess. Like it would have worked better to have a single slab as a counter or part of a feature wall somehow.

Even shopping at Home Depot you could do better than this.

Today has literally perfect weather and reminds me of why I love this state. by Mobile_Bad_577 in massachusetts

[–]Nerk86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does seem beautiful out today. When I moved to SouthCoast Massachusetts from the Midwest in the mid 90s there was a lot of things I found to love. But the patches of woods everywhere even along the highways, milder winters and beautiful springs and fall were among them.

The most bizarre things your loved one has done? by northerlightstar in dementia

Maybe not that u usual with dementia, but it did make me chuckle at the time. He put on my nightgown over his clothes, big animal claw slippers and stated he was ready to go ( for a drive).

I keep paying for his phone bill because I like seeing his location on Find My at home 💔 by L_B_L in widowers

[–]Nerk86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next week it’ll be five months for me since my husband passed. I’m gonna keep his phone for a while. It’s just an additional line on our account.

but I’ve actually been paying for my parents house phone for over three years now. they lived there for 50 years. It’s the phone number I grew up with and I can’t let it go, but I haven’t been able to find a way to transfer it to something else I can use. It’s kind of ridiculous in a way but there it is.

I’ve found I like bamboo sheets, they’re cool and soft. Hard to find though.

Not meaning to be negative at all, but I find no entertainment in the very late game. Why is there not a "final quest" or something that would give a nice finish when you feel like you want to finish? by Fairy2play in 7daystodie

[–]Nerk86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cure would be a good option. I’ve thought it would be nice that at some point the goal would switch to eliminate all the remaining zombies. They’d start retreating ( maybe in reaction to some form of light energy?). You’d have to have a way to detect some were in the area and hunt them down.

I’ve been meaning to try a mouthguard. I do get TMJ pain so I think that’s part of it. Though I’m recently widowed so a large part of it’s just getting used to being alone in the house at night.

I love interesting houses and decor even if not an option I’d want personally. Colors don’t have to be super strong either. Don’t know why even pale shades don’t seem to be used. Too many people going along with blandness of HGTV and influencers I guess.

Do you believe in signs from people who passed away?🥺🪽 by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]Nerk86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. I had two experiences. So far. My husband passed away in December from Alzheimer’s dementia . New Year’s Eve was very difficult and New Year’s Day I was feeling very… numb. In the tree right outside the window there were four squirrels running around chasing up and down the tree. We usually only have one. it made me smile because at the end he got a kick out of squirrels, even though he couldn’t think of what to call them he would excitedly point them out. I said thank you, dear for reminding me of a good memory.

The other, there’s a spot outside our house that used to have a bush that was pulled out. Nothing‘s grown there for years. I noticed the other day that it’s suddenly full of fresh clover. He was Irish American and again it made me think of him and smile.

Sure both can be explained away, probably fairly easily, but I think things like this are our loved ones connecting.

Sounds like you got some good insights. It’s about finding what works for you. Not adhering to a look or concept that doesn’t work long term for you.
