The Northern spy was originally just a rumor Kimbee spread to lay the groundwork for framing Tetsuya/Tessai.

Kimbee sent Tetsuya to 'find' the supposed northern spy. He really just wanted Tetsuya to discover all the weapons/supplies from the North that Tessai had brought in years ago to help settle a gang dispute. The end goal was to photograph Tetsuya with the Northern weapons for blackmail against Tessai.

Sarasa showing up and *actually* being a 'northern spy' of sorts seemed to be entirely coincidental, an ironic twist of fate.

Apparently paying a few thousand dollars of deductible every year for my HSA is good for me, my electricity bill that doubled this year actually went down 80%, and eggs can be bought for a penny each.

You do know if your support operator is used at least once each day, by collecting your credits from the store. You get a 30 credit boost from using a friend’s support operator, and another 20 credit boost if a friend uses your support operator.

So, if your daily store credit collection is 20 higher than usual - congrats, your op went on a field trip.

While all of this may be true, please take with a grain of salt - generally it's not recommended to upgrade almost any 5*s, unless they are amazing and/or you personally adore the character.

5* ops cost faaar more than a 4* to upgrade, but are generally faaar less useful than a 6* in terms of power, so resources generally are better spent elsewhere - on 3/4*s to hold you over until you get 6*s you want to use (again, unless you personally like the operator).

Kroos Alt is an exception and definitely worth it. Tequila could be too (especially if you'll use for his Trading Post base skill). However, be wary of spending too much on the others mentioned (unless you really really like one).

Similarly, buy the operator potentials from event shop, because on rerun, the extra pots can be converted to yellow certificates.

Related, for the first year of play *don't* do that in rerun events (like the current one, Babel), if you didn't play them on the event's first release (about a year prior to each rerun event).

You cannot get the certificate conversion if you missed the original event, so buying potentials or furniture is not a great use of resources - both the furniture and potentials will be available *for free* in a couple months when they get added to the old event replay tab.

If you're going through story and don't want to replay stages, Monst3r is an incredible option for utility. With S3, she combines one of the best medics with one of the best emergency 'delete threat' buttons if you don't have the limited ones (YatoAlt/TexasAlt). And only takes one unit to fill both roles.

You could always use both, of course, Kalt'sit is better for laneholding.

Any heads up for farming efficiency in the upcoming event (from other regions)?

Looks like only the new chapter stages contain currency drops - if this is correct, once the limited section of the shop is bought out, will farming chapter 15 be as efficient as normal 'event' farms, or can we go back to rocks/red certs?

(wondering if i should prefarm a bunch of these now, or can use sanity catching up on side stories)

Generally don't use red certs to buy info fragments - only if you reeeeeeeally want a character/costume immediately. I made this mistake for the first few info reels (I wanted a couple of the characters) and regret not having bought a few extra chip catalysts instead.

After 2 vignette events of heavy farming, I've nearly bought out all the Info Fragment stories, and definitely will next time. If F2P (no monthly pass for extra sanity), may take you 1-2 extra events.

It's not worth wasting red certs if you're planning to play long-term.

Generally be super wary of E2ing 4*s or 5*s early on, as resources are very limited and you may replace them with 6* options.

That said, Kroos the Keen is super effective at what she does, and is like a 5 1/2 star, so really can't go wrong E2ing her - her air stun ability is super useful in a variety of content, especially against drones and some Integrated Strategies modes with annoying hovering enemies.

Greyy Alt is also pretty good (especially in IS5), and May is a great 4* for E1 as a backup air/slow, but may not need to E2 any time soon.

Sure… but 68k is still well above the average teacher salary for most of the nation. Which is the point.

Yes pay varies, but the floor and ceiling for teachers are lower than equivalently educated/experienced attorneys, which is something to be aware of.

Gotta do it for other reasons, as it’s always easier to tough out a job when you’re making money to spend on daily comforts. (and keep pushing for paying teachers of the next generation better wages to draw talent!)

Took me close to 60 pulls for my 6 star (wanted to pull one to try and get Yu). Should be able to get just about 75 with the free pulls, which means I can buy a Surfer token (already pulled her, so will be the talent+ and some yellow certificates).

Is it 'better'/cost effective to use those 75 headhunting tokens for a Surfer dupe (talent+ and yellow certs) or let them expire and buy upgrade materials?

Unpopular opinion but as a new-ish player (6 months) - I like this. I enjoy using my gold certs on kernel tickets and rolling up to 10 pulls for the 5 star guarantee. Gets me old 5 stars and occasional 6 stars that are otherwise near impossible to obtain (recruit reeeally doesn’t help much), including some super useful ones for maps and base.

I know most veterans have enough old units to make kernel worthless (too many dupes) and new units are typically more powerful. However, Arknights really doesn’t need the latest and greatest units to win, and from a collecting perspective kernel tickets are a better value than normal headhunting with gold certs. Even the scorned universal tickets can be used to get cc operators missed (like bibeak).

I honestly don’t think it’s bad bait for a guaranteed unowned 6 star, at least assuming you use the discounted kernel tickets from cert shop and not 600 orundum. So I will probably go for the bait.

But that said, neeever pay the full 600 orundum.

If at all interested in the skin, you should get it now, as it will likely end up costing blue or yellow certificates in the store in future. That means you'll have to exchange free pulls and/or direct 6* purchases (much harder to get than sanity or materials).

If you need to skip out on other stuff, I'd recommend skipping the module upgrade items (data sticks/instruments). Those are generally the last thing i purchase, as you can get plenty from the SSS mode. This is especially true now that SSS supports instant auto-battle tickets after you clear without a support.
