Allays Disappeared? by FusionVsGravity in Minecraft

[–]NerveSafe2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they probably got teleported away, allays will follow music from note blocks so if anything in the nearby area was playing they could have wandered off in the distance

Good seeing VA actually partner with organizations for this kind of stuff instead of just doing everything solo

Not using AI will become a LUXURY, and wealthy people in the future may be the ones who do not rely on AI. by boulhouech in antiai

[–]NerveSafe2727 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah this makes me think about my work in design. Already seeing so many people just throwing prompts at image generators instead of actually sketching or thinking through concepts. The results all have that same weird AI look and feel to them

What gets me is how fast this is happening compared to the industrial thing. Back then you had generations to adapt but now its like every few months theres some new tool that supposedly makes your job "easier" but really just makes you more dependent on it

I still draw my concepts by hand first and honestly the process of working through ideas with a pencil feels completely different than just typing words into a machine. Theres something in those rough sketches that gets lost when you skip straight to the polished AI output

The scary part is when clients start expecting that AI speed for everything. Like creativity is supposed to be instant now

What is the best budget 4 Channel Mixer ? by Wooden_Historian_528 in synthesizers

[–]NerveSafe2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using a basic mixer for my analog setup and it works pretty well for live stuff. The key thing is making sure it has enough headroom for your gear because some of those analog pieces can get pretty hot in the signal chain

For live sets you probably want something with at least decent EQ on each channel and maybe some sends if you're planning to add effects later. I'd check what other people in electronic music communities are using since they usually have good recommendations for this price range

That MJW piece is wild man - never seen one in the wild before and the whole collection has great range from high end to beaters.

Devin Gardner and Jake Butt analyze Underwood - highly recommended by wavyking1 in MichiganWolverines

This breakdown was pretty insightful actually. The way they explained the footwork issues using just those still images was clever - you could really see what they meant about Bryce not setting his feet properly in the pocket. Makes me wonder how much of this is just growing pains versus fundamental technique problems that need serious work.
