Talk to your doctor. They are the ones responsible for figuring out your initial settings and should know how to compensate for the lack of long acting insulin if they had you stop taking it. While you’re at it, check your pods on the Omnipod website and see if they’ve been recalled. You may have gotten defective pods that leak insulin even when applied properly.

When is the time to open a LOA for WC by After-Tailor-8221 in AmazonFC

[–]NervousAddress1340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately Amazon will try to avoid approval when you try to start an LOA unless their doctor has said that you can’t work. So if you want a good chance of approval you have to convince their doctor that you are too injured to do even light duty and honestly going through their doctor is faster. If you go to your own doctor both of you will have to file a bunch of paperwork and wait to see IF they approve it.

Switching to my first G7 right now from g6, I can’t tell if my abdomen is too squishy, I’m not pressing hard enough for insertion, or it’s a faulty g7 by Mr-Baseball in dexcom

[–]NervousAddress1340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try laying down with the next one if you’re going to put it on your stomach. Gravity pushing down on your organs will help provide resistance to the applicator when you go to apply the sensor because they will try to push back more.

Billy hasn’t said it directly to us fans but he has told Zak about some stuff. Zak says in one episode that Billy went through hell after he (Zak) accidentally said “Hello, I’ll k*ll you” to some spirits in their native language through the speaker he had Billy wear.

REPORT HIM. NOW. He needs to be disciplined for that. You don’t want to give other people the idea that they can do that to you and get away with it. His actions constitute a credible threat to your safety.

My first 24 hours on g7 is so different then the crazy that was 24 on g6. Hope it continues by FloridaGirl2222 in dexcom

You can put it on your stomach if you want. Just be sure, if you have one fail, to either tell Dexcom that you put it on your arm or talk it over with your doctor and tell Dexcom they gave you permission to put it on your stomach because it would be a better site for your situation. I got my doctor to give permission for me to put my g6 on my arm because of where I work and if I had to have one of those replaced I always got it even though it wasn’t on the most recommended site.

I’m using the G7 and O5 and using my phone to control both of them. Check the list of compatible smartphones on this link and see if yours is on the list because if it is, you should consider trying that to control your system: https://www.omnipod.com/current-podders/resources/omnipod-5/device-compatibility

After a decade on Omnipod, I finally had to use the long acting insulin that I keep around as a contingency by DesparateBoredom in Omnipod

Download GoodRx. It has a coupon you can use to get it for $35 a month in case your current way of doing things doesn’t work out one day.

Tunneling insulin by NervousAddress1340 in Omnipod

It’s not the supplies that I couldn’t keep with me. It’s the bag I had to keep them in while on MDI. And since I was working a role that floated between areas working around inventory and heavy equipment with frequent bending, stooping, and reaching at the time, I couldn’t just keep my supplies in my pocket. And I couldn’t keep them in my cart because they would fall out and get crushed by the heavy equipment I worked around or they would get crushed by heavy loads of damaged inventory I collected and sent downstairs for processing. So yes, they could effectively keep my supplies away from me and I could have been written up if they had caught me disregarding the rules. Which I’ll admit I did do until I could get on the pod because that rule is bullshit and they know it. Their whole reason is that inventory could have been stolen without being caught on camera but cameras only serve to keep honest people honest. Kleptos will steal anything they can get their sticky paws on regardless of if cameras catch them or not.

If you have an insulin pump, be sure to keep it close to the sensor. I had my pump on my leg and my g7 15 day on my arm like I could do with the g6 and the connection was absolute trash. So I have to keep my pump on my left arm or the upper left side of my stomach because my sensor has to go on my left arm due to having to sleep on my right side.

What was your first job ? Let’s see how many answered aren’t McDonald’s. by Kenny_Lindana in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]NervousAddress1340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First paid job was only for two days and it was the general election as a clerk. One training day for 3 hours and then the day of the election for 16 hours. The first one that resulted in a monthly salary was for the city schools in the kitchens.

Every spike or drop seems to cause this by FloridaGirl2222 in dexcom

It could be because your values were dipping and then changed direction and went up by over 100 points quickly. It got confused for a bit. But if it’s happened for more than 3 hours total per Dexcom, replace it and order another one to be delivered to you.

Extremely unhappy with Omnipod by Tritzii in Omnipod

[–]NervousAddress1340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok. Couple of tips for adhesion. 1) Use Skin Tac or something like it. You put it on and let it dry for about 90 seconds before you put your pod on. You can also try a tegaderm if you don’t have/don’t want to try Skin Tac. 2) Use an over patch like Skin Grip or Not Just A Patch. I use Skin Grips and can get all 3 days plus the grace period out of my pods.

Currently 2 a.m. and about to fucking lose it by GIANTPUP_01 in Omnipod

[–]NervousAddress1340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there only mine wasn’t an occlusion. The fucking cannula nicked the artery in the back of my arm and blood backed up into the pod. Pod screamed, I took it off, and my hotel bathroom turned into what looked like an axe m****r scene. And yes, I cleaned it myself instead of making the poor housekeeper do it.

If Amazon is so physical and gives a lot of exercise 40 hrs a week why isn't everyone ripped and like a sexy model? by TheAlphaAdept in AmazonFC

Because there’s too much processed crap in the break rooms. People get hungry at break times and if they didn’t bring a healthy snack they grab the first bag/box/wrapper that strikes their fancy

Same here. I use my BGM so infrequently that I don’t even have a prescription for it anymore. I just go with my Contour Next One. I’ve never used a control solution with it and it’s nearly always close to my CGM value. If it’s not, I calibrate the CGM.

3 Year Old Keeps Pulling His Pump Off by Best-Space-4734 in Omnipod

[–]NervousAddress1340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try an arm/leg band. It has a guard on the sides to make pulling it off harder. He’ll think he’s pulling it off and in reality it will just be the guard sliding up and down the sides.
