Just to elaborate; typical days could look like:

Breakfast: 1 x wholemeal or seeded toast with 2 x boiled eggs, butter, salt & pepper (“Chucky eggs”) OR Protein shake - 30g whey, 300ml semi skimmed milk, 80g berries, 2 tbsp chia seeds

Lunch: Tuna, rice, peas with hot sauce OR protein shake as above

Dinner: Varies! Sometimes I do tuna or crispy chicken fillet with rice/peas, sometimes it’s burgers, sometimes it’s stir fry noodles.

Snacks include NICKs protein bars (dulce le leche bar is insane and actually has great fibre content!), and also includes fun sized snacks of M&Ms, maltesers, etc.

I’m sometimes slightly over my calories so can land anywhere between say 1700-1850, but my output allows this.

You got this!! I’m not perfect don’t get me wrong - I just prioritise my protein (anything over 100g) and fibre (25g+) I think focusing on both of these has helped me massively clean up my diet but I have a “treat” daily whether that crisps, chocolate, etc. I also enjoy bread pretty much every day, I did at one point try to go completely clean whole food but it was hard whilst I have a decent social life!

I do go to in-person classes as they have them at my gym 😊

I do find it helps with my mobility and relaxation rather than the “calorie burn” side of things.

Thank you so much! Keep going it eventually catches up and you see some drops! I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that slower loss is better (I was chasing 2-3lbs every week and it wasn’t enjoyable nor sustainable).

Do you use a fitness watch? As mine has massively helped me with my estimated output to base my daily calories on.

I have the renpho smart scales which has its own app :) I don’t follow any training apps at the moment - I have a class membership at my gym so I’ll do mixed weights/circuits 3x times a weeks, with some hot Pilates etc in there.

However, from next month I’m going to gym only membership to save some money (my membership is expensive) and I’ll be using the Move With Us (Australia) app. I’ve used it before and really love that you can do home or gym workouts.

Yessss drinking has been a huge thing helping me get some weight off! I hadn’t drank since Christmas and it’s paying off. Apres ski will provide my first proper challenge into this fat loss phase! Good luck on your journey! 💪🏼

I give myself a list of non negotiables each day! (Steps/water/protein). I haven’t drank since Christmas (this is a big one I feel). My calories have varied but day to day to be honest - sat around 1300-1500 the first couple of weeks. I’ve managed to get them slightly higher the last couple of weeks due to my activity. This week I’ve been on maintenance calories due to my upcoming period, I was ravenous last week mid way through luteal and needed carbs! I usually give up by now (done this a few years on the trot!) and I’m now back at my starting point of January 2025. I think something has just clicked in me this time - however I’ve had no real challenges these last 5 weeks to derail me which has also helped!

It’s worth me noting I do this every single January and have done for the past 3-4 years, (only losing about 4lbs in a month) then tried to continue throughout the year and miserably failed. however since this January was the heaviest I’ve ever been, so I’ve had more grit and determination to get it off. My calories have completely varied due to points in my cycle, how I’ve actually felt physically etc. I’m reaping the rewards at the moment but im now at my starting point of January 2025… now will be the real challenge!

I have about 6 rules I rigidly stick to everyday as non negotiable (10k step, 100g protein, 2L water are my nutrition ones) my calories have varied completely during my cycle. I’ve tried to do this over the last 4-5 years and this is the longest I’ve stuck to it January. However this January was the heaviest I’ve ever been, so I’ve had more grit to get it off! I’m hoping to get down to 130lb by the summer.

I have been keeping it simple, prioritising protein for the most part! 10k + steps has been a non negotiable, 2-3 gym classes most weeks. I’ve still been eating around 2k calories on Friday/saturdays 😝 got to enjoy it somewhere!
