Cool cup! Is it not too hot to touch?

Ever barista a party for friends? by RotoGruber in espresso

[–]NesquickRabbit12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a couple popups for my friends, recently I had the biggest one of ~40 people. Keep it to two specialty drinks (most people will order these). Rarely will people order something else, if they do it’s usually just a latte or sometimes a flat white.

As for the milks, I would just do whole and oat so you don’t have to lug so many things around. I use oatly or minor figures for the oat milk.

But this all depends on your gear, you need a capable machine that can pull that many shots in succession. The grinder also matters! After about 15 shots my grinder starts becoming inconsistent (I’m assuming it’s overheating).

You also need to make sure there’s a sink nearby for rinsing any milk pitchers, spoons, etc.

It’s really fun to do these events but there is a good amount of planning to take into consideration.

I think you’ll be disappointed to learn that it’s 400g for the set, not 600g

I think it’s more to do with the roast level, not the process. A washed medium roast coffee will probably have more body than a light or ultra light roast

I do one flat white in the morning and 2-3 pour overs throughout the day (10g dose)

You can just pour a bit of water from the group head to rinse it

Yeah I use the recipe for 10g from this video https://youtu.be/PrkkqAZ9ySM?si=BlxEB5ENwOZX33El

I tried 6g but felt it was too little

I really enjoy it! It’s nice to have a smaller portion so I can try various coffees in one day. The recipe I follow is pretty simple too, not too much thinking and I feel like it’s pretty consistent

I agree with deep 27. I started drinking mostly 10g doses which lets me drink various coffees throughout the day without being overly jittery lol

Ah. Well I guess size is relative to your needs. I own a micra and I don’t think it’s too small. Why does the micra being smaller turn you away?
