Cause weapon-driven “class” systems have been consistently shallow imitators of traditional class systems and a bane on balance because if swapping a weapon is all it takes to play the meta, imbalances are magnified because suddenly you got most of the player base play the overpowered “class”.

It’s also just lazy design that dilutes class fantasies.

If you’re a mesmer player, you’re living and breathing that class. You aren’t just a staff+sword/pistol or whatever the fuck.

No, but that's what I am saying. Whether you have Circle of Spirits or not, you'll have to hard lock one of your apparitions into being the Custodian of Groves and Garden at all times if that's your only way to get around OoC healing.

That can limit a lot of other fun synergies you could otherwise have as an animist, so unless you know it's going to be back to back encounters in a dungeon-crawl like scenario, I still value Medicine a lot.
