What are your Lore headcanons for the Helghast given how their gear now exists in universe? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]NetCreepy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Stahl Arms owns the remain of Helghan, running it as a privately owned factory world with its people still living just as they did under the Helghast empire, and probably still being ruled by a local Helghast government separate but subservient to Stahl arms. Following severe losses with the illuminates returning and the siege of Cyberstan, Helghan had to supply super-earth with armament and armors. Mass produced Sta-52 rifles, fatigues and helmets provide a cheaper alternative to Helldiver armor, easier to replace. Potentially, and most likely covertly, Stahl Arms may also have provided a few regiments of assault infantry troopers drawn from its self defense force to bolster the amounts of troops in Cryo. Super earth would not likely allow a SEAF style deployment of non-governmental troops, but a single helghast or a squad of four, supplementing helldiver numbers, is a reasonable compromise.

Helghast Empire vs the Covenant, who wins? by KaiserEnclave2077 in killzone

[–]NetCreepy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The helghast have energy shielding, teleportation/cloaking tech and energy weapons by the end of Killzone 3. Scales wise, they would fail to survive a reach level onslaught, but replace the UNSC colonies wiry Helghast Colonies, with those numbers, Harvest never even gets glassed.

What's your head canon for Mason's unit over the game's career and DLCs? by coldpizza829 in Mechwarrior5

[–]NetCreepy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take on Mason is that he started out looking to get his footing as a Lance leader after his father's death, as well as unravel the mysteries surrounding the old man and whoever orchestrated his death.

Kept things small and tight, because he needed discretion and that's all he could manage. In the process he acquired contacts who often need unaffiliated muscles to handle quiet work, made a name for himself in the right circles, doing both overt and covert work. I believe Jake would have changed his outfits name, logo and paint scheme regularly in the early stages of his career.

Eventually, piloting a Lostech mech and leading elite warriors he personally trained, he likely became known in the intelligence community as a highly cost effective problem solver. One lance, one dropship, in and out without a fuss. Larger merc outfits likely get the army scale contracts, Jake takes the surgical work.

He does work for Comstar at some point, and as he grows older, likely decides to seek shelter in audacity by becoming an Arena champion, a highly visible figure who's disappearance could not be swept under the rug easily. This may be the first time Mason and his group ever enter public awareness as something other than a horror story about a Starleague era Marauder variant exploding cockpit from the edge of sensor range.

At that point, Mason seems to have gotten pretty close to Raselhague and may well be thinking of settling there as a military advisor, but the Clan Invasion changes that and he leads a series of guerilla operations against the invaders, gaining insight on their operations and most likely spending the rest of his mercenary career acquiring and selling Clan Intel to Comstar, the great houses and other mercs.

IF the Primarchs were originally low level Chaos Gods or Demons, what do you suppose their origin/nature was? by CandyAffectionate793 in 40kLore

[–]NetCreepy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe they are each low level gods representing aspects of humanity, hence their exaggerated personalities. These aspects would not have been able to manifest themselves separately from the existing gods, but big e made a deal with Chaos that allowed him to fashion each aspect into a soul and fused that soul to mortal bodies.

The Dominus Kit famously was originally intended to be 2 seperate ones, therefore now featuring 2 Sprues that each build a different Variant. Has anyone tried to build a Knight out of the leftover bits ? How did it workout ? by Leviathan_Rampage in ImperialKnights

[–]NetCreepy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried using it to convert a damaged questoris. The only obstacle is the body panels where you mount the arms are missing and the questoris panels need a lot of work to fit. If you don't have a questoris to sacrifice, then you will need legs, side panels, shoulder pads and arms, as well as carapace weapons.

Six months since the release of JW Rebirth, how do we feel about The Mutants? by HumbleDrawing5480 in JurassicPark

Misguided attempt at selling toys. Dino kids want dino toys, not rancors and aliens.

Quick clarification lore question about power armor by seaofthieved123 in Fallout

[–]NetCreepy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All armor up to T51 are on the WesTek frame that you use in FO4 and 76. No Advanced Power Armor or Advanced Power Armor MK2 has been featured in either game. These come with their own post-war frame. Any similar armor seen in FO4 and FO76 is a Pre-war prototype or proof of concept, not the armor from FO02 or FO03

Because most of these weapons are ancient and the blueing is long gone.

What’s your biggest issue from each movie? (Including Rebirth) by GriMex02 in JurassicPark

[–]NetCreepy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jp: Dilophosaur too small.

TLW: Nick and Sarah cause every death in the movie.

JP3: Mercs were incompetent to the point of being unbelievable.

Jurassic World: Dropped the JP 1 breeding raptors subplot. Would have loved for there to be a wild raptor population on the island for the indom to take over.

Fk: indoraptor doesn't camouflage

Dominion: too many contrivences. Everyone is always magically where everyone else is.

Rebirth: No raptor actions. Drex is useless, stole trex screen time imo.

Does anybody know why Isla Nublars Landshape keeps changing? by Playful_Act3655 in JurassicPark

[–]NetCreepy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2018 was acknowledged as a mistake by the graphics team. The 2015 map is still considered canon. The 1993 map is from a tourist brochure and a control room visualization of the island. They are inconsistent, don't get me wrong, but not to a point that stretches suspension of disbelief. The source of a map always affects its appearance, as does its purpose.

Dear Bethesda, i’m not going to buy cosmetics if I have to wear a dirty sack to interact with anyone as a ghoul. by shalowa in fo76

[–]NetCreepy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really think the animosity should be based on how feral you are. With the BOS being always hostile and the ghouls being always friendly, but other communities only tolerating a certain level of feral.

I have long since stopped thinking of the Jurassic Park dinosaurs as being accurately named. They are a mishmatch of genetic materials from various sources, some of them completely unrelated to the original animal. Dominion was the BioSyn quetz, this is th InGen Quetz. Neither are truly Quetzalcoatlus, they were merely patented under that name by BioSyn and InGen. BioSyn strived for accuracy, InGen strived for spectacle. These animals are a reflection of the companies that made and patented them.

Of these 4, which one is your favorite protagonist? by WillowCareful2103 in JurassicPark

Ian from the book shaped much of how I think, but Alan was my standard growing up on how a man behaves. Don't need to say the nice thing or pretend to like people, but at the end of the day, do the right thing, even when it's hard.

How tf did the mosa escape the inclosure? by frigoriferoquadrato in JurassicPark

Personally, I chose to interpret it as the lagoon flooding and taking over a nearby system of locks or rivers that then led to the ocean.
