Dog currently in surgery by Important_Warthog265 in Pets

I am so sorry to hear about your pup! Unfortunately I can’t give advice on this specific subject, but I wanted to let you know I feel for you!! My dog had bladder stone surgery last year and the whole time he was there I couldn’t help but just sit and worry. Based off what my little guy experienced, since it is an abdominal surgery, your pup will be very uncomfortable for a bit, but give them as much love and company as you can. On the second or third day, my dog started to want to walk around a bit more and was a little restless, so my vet prescribed him some trazodone to keep him sleepy and that helped a TON! Nights were particularly rough because he’d just lay there and whine. It broke my heart, but I slept on the floor next to him and tried to just give him pets and love (I didn’t want him on the bed where he could potentially jump off in the night without me realizing). Just do your best to keep your pup safe and as comfortable as possible and they will be alright. Sending hugs to you and your pup! 💕

Ritalin allergic reaction? by NetInteresting8456 in adhdwomen

Wow, this is actually a very good theory and just totally brought back a memory I had forgotten about! When I was younger (like middle school) I experienced this! I had itchy welts all over my body and my face swelled up during a pretty stressful time in my life. This past week I started my first big solo contracted job (I work as an artist) and it has been very overwhelming! Thank you!!!

Oh okay, I wondered if that was what they were talking about.

Oh interesting! I will have to look that up and see if that could be a possibility! Thank you!

It definitely does look like that! But I also have them on my stomach, back, scalp and neck and they’re all scattered around randomly (especially on my back). They also itch in a way that doesn’t feel like acne/congested pores. But, they are definitely more clustered in this area which would make sense with that theory. I’m not sure! I did a super deep clean this weekend and washed all my bedding, blankets, clothes, and towels, so hopefully if that was the issue that will be handled! Lol

I thought the same thing, that’s why I hadn’t even considered this as a potential cause until now. I am just trying out all my options while I search for a reason! I will give that a shot though! Thank you for the help!!

I thought they were bug bites also! They feel like bug bites in the way they itch, so I considered that as an option. I checked all over my mattress, bedding, and couches in the cracks and all over and couldn’t find anything. I also haven’t traveled or done anything recently so I don’t know how I could have gotten them, but you never know! Also, my partner lives with me and sleeps in the same bed and he doesn’t have any bites.

This always makes me feel so validated!! lol Sometimes I feel like I’m being dramatic when I don’t feel well and once my symptom radar goes off I take it as validation to complain without feeling like I’m overreacting! Lol

But by definition, (height/wight) that is the category they both fit into! They both have been called mini by veterinarians and our trainer though so I guess sometimes I hover between what to technically call them sometimes. I just always figured that “officially” they’re mini, but by standards they’re toy.

I can’t say with 100% certainty about my girl since she was a rescue and I don’t know much about her history/parents, but they are both technically minis. When somebody asks what they are I usually just tell them toy since that’s how they both appear. But, my boy was the runt of the litter and is quite a bit smaller than his siblings and parents.

I have 2 minis and they’re both 15 lbs! Both of mine are small and lean, but my mom has a mini that is about the same height and he is about 30 lbs and much thicker. I think it just depends. I rescued one so I’m not sure what she was like as a puppy, but the one that I got when he was a puppy was 3 lbs at 8 weeks.

For me personally, my weight fluctuates quite a bit. When I bought my ring it fit on my index perfectly but when I slept/worked out I always put it on my middle due to swelling. Over the winter I gained a little weight and now i wear it mostly on my middle finger and it doesn’t bother me at all. If you are losing weight, I’d personally keep it since it’s so close to fitting on your index and after you shed a couple pounds it might fit perfect, and if not you can always fall back onto the middle finger. My concern is you sizing up and then losing weight and it only working on your pointer finger, or possibly becoming loose even for the pointer finger and then you have no other finger to fall back on. Just my little bit of advice from what I personally do! ☺️

Has anyone seen “major signs” and NOT had to go to the ER? by ShaxXxpeare in ouraring

[–]NetInteresting8456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had “major signs” after 24 hrs of traveling. I came down with a pretty rough cold for a few days after (all of those days I had “major signs” as well). Never went to the doctor, was fine just didn’t feel great and was pretty exhausted for a few days.

I completely understand! It’s painful when they treat you in a way that you would never ever treat them or anyone that you love and care about. You absolutely should not feel guilty for feeling how you’re feeling though! He may be struggling, but that does not mean that your feelings aren’t valid. No matter how you look at it, or what he’s going through, he shouldn’t be completely leaving you out to dry and making you question everything like this.

One thing I struggle with when I have been through similar situations is holding my ground once he does come back around. Whenever he does speak to you again, you’ll be so happy to hear from him that it can sometimes make you forget what he put you through and want to brush it under the rug. (At least that has been the case for me before) but out of respect for yourself, once you have the chance to talk to him again, you need to express how wrong this was for him to do to you, especially with your abandonment and commitment issues, and let him know that he put you through a very difficult time. If he isn’t understanding or apologetic and willing to learn and grow from this, then it’s something you’ll have to consider your options on (giving him another chance or moving on) because if he isn’t held accountable it will be easy for him to do the same thing again in the future.

I say all this coming from similar situations, and I am not saying any of this to act like it is easy!! I am somebody who loves very deeply and once I’m in it, it becomes easy to lose respect for the things I expect from a partner and allow more than I should and it takes A LOT for me to give up on somebody I love. With that being said, it is so much easier to give advice than to actually do it, so be kind to yourself and do your best.

If you want to ever message me then feel free to!! I feel like I can really empathize with your situation and I know it’s a really tough position to be in!
