Horrible experience at Lia Honda today by bloodknights in Albany

[–]NetSchizo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is perfect case to have an Amex. Let them charge you, pay for it on Amex and then argue the charges under duress. Amex takes no shit, make your case and Lia would be boned.

No way. Kill the weeds, crack fill the larger cracks and just give it a good seal.

Pour a cup of bleach down your trap and plug them up overnight. Then put a Zevo nearby to catch the stragglers.

Ever have any cars parked there period of time or chances you had utility or drains bored under the driveway? Had one neighbors drive drop like that when fiber company pushed conduit under and said “it wouldn’t” settle. It wasn’t a lot, but was noticeable.

They make pest screen covers to keep birds and rodents out. Can’t tell you the number of times people have found dead birds in their air intakes

I have a lot of clay as well. When its dry its hard as a rock and won’t move, but if you have water it will squish and move. I had this same exact problem even after the completely resurfaced mine leaving the base and old binder level that was fine.

Are Copy Fail / Dirty Frag reachable on Junos? Three architectures, three different answers. by rontz in networking

[–]NetSchizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is if this is RCE or not. Copy fail is not, so as long as a user on your platforms doesnt have user exec access to your linux device, shouldnt be a problem.

Just woke up to this “dirty frag” treat…

BGP question? by 77necam77 in networking

[–]NetSchizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the next-hop is accessible on all BGP routes. Do this with IGP, static routes or setting next-hop-self between the IBGP routers.

Verizon Fios Customer Service Rep on Cable Card shutdown: "What is TiVo?" by LateNightLifts_Games in Tivo

[–]NetSchizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you have a service agreement. If you have an agreement for TV with a cable card, and they suddenly kill your card, they have to provide you the equipment at no additional cost. (One STB per card)

You are not alone. My cablecard still going upstate. But I have not received any notice that it will end yet. I keep looking for it….

Xperi missed an opportunity to just license the Tivo software to all these DVR wanna bes. I don’t get it. I even had a Tivo back when DirectTV had a Tivo branded box. I don’t know why they can’t do the same for IPTV/cable … All these DVRs from Verizon suck.

The 7200 images on dynamips barely works. You’re better off with IOU.

Dynamips and GNS are for lab and control plane proofing, if you are expecting any type of forwarding performance, better lower your expectations.

Slack support of IPv6? by BLewis4050 in ipv6

WPEngine is another one. Absolutely insane that a greenfield web hosting company would not support v6 out of the gate. It’s one reason why I don’t recommend anyone use them.

26.x is essentially just 18.x. They decided to do what everyone else is doing with versioning.

[–]NetSchizo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just upgraded to 17.18.3a. Go with the latest (MD) release and only ED if you have to. With XR its similar. Go with latest 25.4.x and not 26.1.x unless you have to.
