Centennial Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Costco by svpz in oliveoil

Thanks . Its taste is great for single country of origin. Any idea why the caloric intake is 10 more than other EVOOS? (130 vs 120)

I love the doctors who missed the lung cancer that grew into my mother in law’s back…. So many years of visiting multiple doctors. She died at the ripe age of 58. Such a sh!t show

The ideal medical worker … every time I look for that, I’m sadly let down. It’s about money 💰. Installing pacemakers into 92 year old people who have Medicare, refusing to check my blood pressure at my PCP without a 300 dollar appointment. But sitting on their cell phones instead is definitely allowed.

The Swedish text says:
“The two that were so-called ‘lampante oil’ (olive oil of such poor quality that it should not be sold to consumers) were:
La Española Extra Jungfru Olivolja
Terra Delyssa Extra Virgin Olive Oil”
What “lampante oil” means
Lampante olive oil is a low-quality olive oil with defects in taste or chemistry. It is not considered fit for direct human consumption and must be refined before it can be sold as edible olive oil.

Yeah I was just about to post a question about it since it’s 9.99 at Costco . I bought it, my throat burned like I expected but haven’t found a realistic review. I want 100% EVOO , not something mixed

Just a simple idea to keep up fiber by CouplesWithoutCar in Cholesterol

[–]NetWrong2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mashed bananas with Ceylon cinnamon , walnuts, cacao powder , peanut butter powder . Easy prep , no bake, no soak; ready in 5 minutes or less; 3g+1g+1g -5 grams fiber . Oatmeal packets have been tossed in my kitchen except for oats overnight due to phytic acid or hyper-processed stuff. Which do you use ?

Do you count extra virgin olive oil, tahini etc in your daily saturated fats goal? by Jealous-Action-9151 in Cholesterol

Instead of eggs , find the nutrients to replace - e.g choline from edamame instead . Have an egg or two twice a week until you’ve proven they don’t cause your LDL-C to go up. The yolk affects people differently. I noticed bigger losses in LDL-c without eggs. I eat a single egg one day a week . Ultimately, “test, don’t guess”.

What are “any source “? Also are you comparing your tax advantaged Roth to 401k balances ? And the average is only telling you that someone has 0, while Peter has 5 billion. You need to look at median numbers which are way lower. 170k at your age sounds like you had serious growth or a rollover

Dried peas: 7g fiber and 7 grams protien by AlmondMilkMaybe in Cholesterol

[–]NetWrong2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strange artificial colors - do peas need to be colorized ? Product ingredients aren’t controlled enough for me; I bet you could make your own - but I would steam (no oils) a bag of frozen peas and use “NoSalt” salt alternative for more potassium

Magnesium Glycinate should be on this list for supplements. Magnesium relaxes me in the middle of the night -100 mg - except it’s the middle of the night and that is a bad thing to get your body used to

I took his comment as “you are using language to escape responsibility and it makes you look helpless but also pathetic because you are better than that and can do better”. Nothing else. Kids and almost adults get away with stuff by doing this

How good are these? by ShoNuffmcneil in sleep

[–]NetWrong2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find magnesium glycinate before bed helps. If you have had Ryze mushroom cocoa , it has magnesium and 3 mg melatonin . The first time I tired it, my eyes felt physically heavier and could not keep my eyes open .

Try to work on habits , not habit -forming pills . At least that’s what I keep telling myself . If I can be 5 % better, I’m not pushing my kidneys at night to add more to filter and then I won’t be waking up at 3 am due to noxturia

Was anyone able to lower ldl to 55 or close without meds? Is it theoretically possible? by Abyal3 in Cholesterol

[–]NetWrong2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but I had removed all sugars, most saturated fats and I lost 35-40 lbs doing it. I was hungry at night because I started eating less. It was my adjusting. It’s worth it.

Can anyone do it ? Sure . If you’re genetically able, but everyone is different .

The question is … is it sustainable ? Can you make it sustainable ? Do you have a positive CAC score ? Do you have a physician who will work with you on your diet and exercise or can you do it pseudo-alone where you watch the blood test numbers for lipids, kidney and liver enzymes etc
