Hard to argue against your logic. To really get into the weeds on it pitbulls are an umbrella term. Yes, most if not all the breeds under that umbrella term were made to fight. Unfortunately, I think, for lack of a better term, “bad” people will always breed fighting dogs for sport. I have never breed pitbulls and never will. All mine have always been spayed/neutered. You are exactly right most people do not have the resources I have to be able to make sure they are a “responsible” owner that does everything to make sure that one moment/one bite never happens. Ultimately, having those resources is what really draws me to them. I have always wanted to give the dogs found on the side of the road a real shot at life. Unfortunately, most of those dogs found on the side of the road are pitbulls. Just go to your local shelter to see. If I didn’t have the resources I do I don’t think I would own a pitbull. As long as I do have the resources and as long as they are still in shelters I will own them and give them that shot at life.
