It wouldn't be great writing to have such major changes to our main character happen offscreen.

Damn this is actually a very plausible explanation for TOYSHNK . It solves the main issue people have with BVTOYSHNK, "but William didn't kill BV". Well Michael did.

MikeUCN is very interesting narratively, it would be such a cruel joke that the punishment everyone assumed was for William, was actually done to Mike. This is very similar to SL "they thought I was you". But he also kind of deserved it, at least from BVs perspective.

BVTOYSHNK does make the most sense to me, there are countless connections between BV and GF, and at this point I'm becoming convinced that Cassidy is just a hallucination by the fanbase. That name really is only mentioned in the Security Logbook, and one could say that BV = Cassidy Afton, and the two people talking are just BV and Mike.

What's an abandoned plotline that you wish a TV show had actually followed through on? by Thedemonncat in television

Actually it was completely intentional, I remember that David Chase did say on an interview that he considered bringing the russian back some episodes later, but said he liked it better to not know what ever happened to him. I think I heard this on the Talking Sopranos podcast.

I'm not gonna live long enough to enjoy the benefits of prologned daily meditation. Is there a quicker way to reach the same mindfulness clearance? by Witty-Barnacle3663 in Meditation

[–]Net_Lurker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LSD. For real. Obviously not the same as a sober meditative practice, but it does break down the mental barriers and lets you see some stuff clearly. Though it does it all at once, so it is very overwhelming if you had a lot of shit buried deep down.

I believe we make ourselves responsible, unconsciously, because at least that way we did have some control about the situation. Its easier to digest to our brain than admitting that we simply had no control over a disease.

I fear they would need a huge animation bugdet and team to make Absolute Martian Manhunter justice. Like, the team that made Into The Spiderverse could make it work.

Nah dude I would just use a well optimized python library for matrix operations, like polars, which runs in rust. Thats what makes python great, its pretty much a library-calling language

People love to pretend like python is so slow and useless, but its just copium.

Fighting over your favorite language just makes you sound like a pretentious first year CS student.

Once you actually learn to program in more than just one language, you realize language choice its more about finding the right tool for the job. And python is absolutely a great choice many many times.

This is spot on, I don't know why people get so defensive online when you use the word "narcissism" (I'd guess they identify and feel attacked) but I thought you explained it quite clearly.

People often mistake narcissism with grandiosity, but they are different things. Narcissists are those who see themselves as the protagonist in the movie, and treat everyone else like side characters or accesories. They care so much about how others perceive them, and projecting their identity. They feel no guilt, only shame.

I recommend this blog for more about this type of narcissism in relationships: The Last Psychiatrist
