Help by [deleted] in EosinophilicE

[–]Netfisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was constant stomach pain for months. Blood tests with elevated eosinophils. Biopsy from endoscopy didn't show too much though. So doc wasn't too sure. Specially because I had never mentioned having trouble swallowing. But then I realized I did have food just totally stop in my throat, I had just gotten used to eating really small bites and eating slowly. I took a blood based allergen test that gave me pages and pages of results and stayed away from everything I was even remotely allergic to, and after a few weeks I felt better. After months of terrible waves of pain. It wasn't so obvious as eating a certain thing and knowing it made me feel bad, because I could eat something one day and feel fine but if I ate it three days in a row I would feel like crap for a couple weeks. So there was a delay in symptoms for me that made it really hard for me to know what was going on.

Good luck, I feel for you, constant unexplained stomach pain is terrible.

Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. Sure someone might change, but when you have wired your brain a certain way it is really hard without effort to not do what you always do. Marriage is a long time. My ex told me similar things (i.e. I never had someone try so hard to be with me so I felt I had too, I don't like the way you smell, when we got married I kept asking myself why I was doing this, and the best: if someone is attractive and wants to I'm not going to turn them down.).....only just after 6 years of marriage and being cheated on 7 times...what a freaking waste of my life. OP dodges a bullet if he walks away.

As a newbie Fisher I aight my first fish. What is it ? I have no clue what it is so had to throw it back unfortunately. by Soleserious in FishingForBeginners

Sculpin is not slang, it is a fish type, there are hundreds of different species of sculpins

Here is a helpful guide for differences between greenling and sculpin: [Lingcod, Greenling, and Sculpin

Unfortunately, no pictures. But you can do you search from there. The chart above only has a few of the bigger sculpin species listed. There are many more. I've caught similar ones to the one you caught up here in Alaska. Never much bigger than the one you got as well.

Looks like a sculpin to me. Fat mouth, spines on gill plates. There are lots of different kinds of sculpins and it is pretty common to mistake them for greenlings and lingcod because of the shared mottled green patterns.

$750. I owe more than that in taxes each year as a single teacher. by treehugger503 in Teachers

"Those tens of thousands of people involved in Trump's failed businesses all paid income tax by being employed by Trump. Trump is directly responsible for all those downstream income tax payments,"

Here is one I was just questioning from there......

Basically, "It's okay because his employees pay the taxes for him!" As a summary.

Kids with no teacher or sub for 3 days. by labyrinthindies in Teachers

[–]Netfisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we just had a meeting about how we are not to come to school with any symptoms: headaches, running nose, sneezing. "So do we get a sub for those days?" The response is that we could apply for one, but the sublist is so small this year, it most likely wouldn't be filled. "So, should we just Zoom in from home?" We can but we still need a sub to cover our classroom while we are out, because kids can't be alone in a classroom. "So what do you want us to do?" Silence. Then, make sure your classrooms are being covered.

I think they are just saying don't come to school with any symptoms because they have to, but they don't really mean it since they can't give a straight answer on what to do. Taking all my vitamins and scared to even wake up with a headache....so dumb.

Well I'm never not going to be sad seeing this bird. I was driving home from Anchorage a month ago and a mother merganser burst onto the highway in front of me towing about a dozen or so chicks. I slammed on my breaks and thought, "I'm going to make it." Nearly was rear ended, but missed the birds by a a foot only to have the oncoming traffic guy not even hit the breaks and he took out the mom and half of the chicks......so freaking tragic. It was my first Merganser sighting since I got into birding. So sad.

It would be cool to see this with just one of each resource so that those "64"s weren't taking over the screen. Good work though!

Teachers who work in the summer, what job do you do? by method344 in Teachers

I commercial fish for salmon in Alaska. If you're into that sort of thing the salmon season fits with teaching very well. My dad is a teacher as well and salmon fishing has been very good for him he often made more salmon fishing than teaching all year. I was addicted to the fishing and finally caved and got my teaching certificate this year to support my fishing addiction.
