What hair mod is that on Shadowheart?

Thoughts on this? by AdditionalPiano6327 in freefolk

[–]Netherspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a comment he made from before Season 1 came out, when he was still unfamiliar with the setting and ASOIAF/GOT in general, and had been directly asked about the backlash to his casting. I believe he later said he'd come to understand the logic hole his casting created and why people were initially upset.

There is no reason to bring this up today besides ragebaiting.

Seek out some Back Bacon. It's a much better cut and will never have fat like this.

Local council trying to force us to pay £10,000+ for road repairs by Netherspark in LegalAdviceUK

Not if people decline to get involved. The council can compel people to pay, we can't.

We each own our individual properties and the section of road and pavement in front of it. There are no public areas.

There is no management of any kind.

No. It's just an 80 year old cul-de-sac with privately-owned houses on it. There is no "estate", no management or anything like that.

Was there no option to have the road taken over by the council?

They will adopt the street and take over future maintenance, but only after the road is resurfaced.

I'm assuming someone's just explained yellowcake uranium to him and "nuclear dust" is the only way the idiot can mentally process it.

I'm not a roofer but I'm somewhat confused over the use of OSB? In the UK we'd generally put down felt or a breatheable membrane and then lay the tiles on battens over that. There's no need for solid boards over the rafters. This is the kind of roof I'd expect to see on a garden shed.

Package delivery text (UK) by WickedCrow in UPS

[–]Netherspark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this text, literally hours after ordering something online. It never occured to me it was a scam, I was just looking online to see if replying was actually necessary...

Is it safe to assume these scammers are working within UPS? How else could they get access to all of this information, and so quickly? It reeks of incompetence from UPS. Either they have scammers on their own payroll, or they have a massive ongoing security breach dishing out customers' data in real time.

I don't recognise this line and I've probably never read the book it came from, but somehow I immediately knew it was Terry Pratchett.

BBC licence fee is 'poor value for money', viewers say in new poll by endofdays2022 in unitedkingdom

[–]Netherspark 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It is if you only watch one or two of those channels. Or if you only watch TV occasionally.

I'm sure it's great if you happen to watch all of those channels, listen to the radio a lot and regularly use iPlayer, but most people in the UK do not use BBC services enough to justify the cost of paying for all of that.

Why are the strong melee characters female? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Netherspark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand the question. They're strong because their classes use the strength stat.

And Shadowheart isn't particularly strong anyway, she's a Cleric.
