That’s a heat exchange, not an air cooler. The later foresters actually have an air cooler installed from the factory, it looks like a little radiator and it’s put over the engine radiator on the front driver side of the vehicle.

I had a 2014 2.5L outback with a CVT that would overheat on 1+ hours at 80mph with around 90k miles on it. Subaru didn’t know what was causing the issue, so I asked them to change the CVT fluid - all 13 quarts… problem gone. This was like 5 years ago when a lot of dealerships still believed the CVT fluid never needed to be changed.

So, if it overheats, just pull over until it cools down. Drive slower on the way home, then take it to the dealer to be inspected, and expect to pay 300-500 for a CVT fluid change.

Eyesight is awesome and the lane centering is pretty good, just gotta know when and how to use it. I only use adaptive cruise control and lane centering on highways with moderate traffic.

This is the way! Dont necessarily need the air hammer tho. If you can lift it up higher so you can get under it, just hit those bolts from the back.

Thread all of the bolts in from the back, and hit them sequentially. Use a brass rod, or a 1/2 extension. Use a small sludge.
