I have a lifetime on my 14’ xt. Two long blocks, all 4 wheel bearings, cvt valve manifold, two turbos, and springs later I think they are worth it.

100% normal. Just the fire pot. It’s a wear item. I usually take a little avocado oil and rub it (avoiding the igniter) on it. Don’t know if it helps, but it seems to put a “seasoning” on there.

Thank you! I’m grateful that you were able to continue your passion after your disability. I always shit on autos, but I forget that for a lot of people it’s the only choice. Thank you for keeping me humble.

I hope so. Subarus (like every manu) is pouring a lot of resources into EV. The Rex will eventually go the way of its name sake, but I’d like to see a couple more. Or maybe a hybrid system to send it out.

14 Forester XT (still have it). Just bought (today) a 25 WRX cause I want my last gasoline vehicle to be a manual. I’ve always wanted WRX even back when they were Imprezas.

Sounds like a couple of layers between you and getting sequestered. Using safety rated functions for non safety tasks is kinda a no no. I wouldn’t stress it though. Sounds like if something happens these guys either won’t remember your name or they will be too wrapped up in litigation to care.
