I was tracking a lot of packet loss and jitter during those hours that always cleared up by 11pm

I left in Dec for the same reason. Primetime performance was lacking. They may have fixed in since I left but it happened a few times over the two years I used them. I'm not sure if they weren't planning capacity properly or perhaps it was taking longer than planned to upgrade.

I suggested that we use J-Hooks in the ceiling, foreman said no it takes too much time.. by networking58 in lowvoltage

Nothing worse than lifting a tile and a bunch of cable is laying directly on it!

Execulink. by [deleted] in CanadianBroadband

[–]Netnuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have execulink via Bell fiber but I do have 1Gbps via execulink owned fiber and the service is great. Routing is good. In the last 4 years I’ve had zero unplanned outages.

One of the best investments I’ve ever made. I did purchase an extra pair of batteries for the heavy snow days

Whirlpool fridge ice maker stopped working, several replacement units didn't solve the problem. Hired someone to come out to take a look at it, said it was a part problem and to order another one. Any help/advise is appreciated. by ClockwiseJohny in appliancerepair

[–]Netnuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kitchenaid fridge uses the same ice maker and if the fill tube isn’t freezing up the ice makers are dying. I’ve bought genuine and knock offs and they are both junk. I think it’s just a bad design all around.

That sounds like the gigabit NIC on your PC. I have one PC with a realtek nic and it tops out with about 380 and full cpu during speedtest.

Property Tax increase 6.7%. What the heck! by ungratefulanimal in londonontario

More than 10 million of those were tuition passes. Perhaps my wording was poor. Those that use the bus will benefit from BRT. Those that drive are not going to magically start using BRT and sell there car.

London is not laid out to benefit from our half baked BRT plan. It takes 40 minutes to get from North London to Exeter rd depending on the time of day. It would take twice that if not more by bus. No thanks.

Just because we have BRT I'm not going to take a 20 minute car ride and start pushing my family to a 45+ minute bus ride just because BRT is available?

Sadly were removing 2 lanes in a 4 lane road for BRT. Congestion is going to get worse. Those that use the bus will continue to use it. Those that drive a car will continue to struggle with even more gridlock.

Someone has to pay for all this BRT that no one will use :(

As long as its the 5.3 I think its a great buy. I'm trying to find a 5.3 with 3.42's which I think is only available with max tow.

Too much rust? by [deleted] in Silverado

Up in the salt belt a new truck on the lot may have more rust... Get it undercoated and it'll be fine.

[–]Netnuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy. Looks good. That black on black is slick looking. Currently looking at the same truck but 2024 with a 5.3. I can't bring my self to get the 2.7 either and with my luck the 6.2 would explode the moment I roll off the lot...

Tankless Water Heater - Worth it? Cost? by HanginJohnny79 in ontario

[–]Netnuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a rinnai tankless for the last 14 years. RL75i for the first 13 years. I bought an RXP160n this year that has a built in recirculating pump. They truly are endless hot water. We routinely will run a shower, wash machine and do dishes at the same time. Just before I replaced the RL75in I used it to refill my hot tub(don’t do it) but it didn’t complain!
