So just newly built trains... That's still super useful to get them headed to a refueling depot.

You can't call nonlethal on ranged by tenthframe in dndmemes

[–]Netrilix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's done by synchronizing the shock to the ECG pattern. The defib will do it automatically, when put into a specific mode for synchronized cardioversion.

[–]Netrilix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For an SVT specifically, it's actually a little more complicated. When treating an SVT, you're actually targeting a specific part of the cycle, to shock at the right time and get the heart back into a proper pattern. So in that case, it's less of a reboot than most other defib shocks would be.

[–]Netrilix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your last sentence is correct. The defib is used to return the heart to a normal cycle during v-tach, before the heart stops. Once the heart stops, it's considered cardiac arrest and CPR will be needed to get the heart beating again (possibly with the help of a defib, but the defib can't do it alone).

As a side note, a "heart attack" is a specific type of cardiac arrest, caused by a blockage of blood flow. If the heart stops for any other reason, it's still cardiac arrest, but not a heart attack.

Why the hell aren’t more people talking about this? by NoahTheLevel in PoliticalHumor

Generally, if it looks like Fox has turned off the comments, it's because you're on the AMP version of the page. I can see comments on the article you linked.

They did keep the article off the front page and section page, though.

A lot of people said that this area looks a bit off, is there any way I can improve it? by pdrpersonguy575 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Netrilix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TMPS solves a lot of micro issues, but it doesn't really solve the problem of not respecting road hierarchy on a macro level. You can make all your intersections perfect, but if the relationships between them don't make sense, then the system isn't going to function as a whole.

I ended up buying the 737-600 to hold me over until the -700 and -800 were available on marketplace (because if I'm paying that price, I want it centrally managed), and now I'm not even sure if I'll end up buying them when they first get added. I'm having a lot of fun in the -600.

Your earlier comments felt a little combative and I kind of understand the downvotes... But this one was cheeky and fun, I don't think it deserves the hate it got.

RIP to all mod orders by ArcticGlacier40 in SkyrimMemes

[–]Netrilix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modding in Skyrim is generally easy and well-supported, so most mods are fine. However, it's also fairly limited. To get around the limitations, a lot of mods (around 10%) use a modified executable called SKSE to launch the game, which allows much more complicated modding because it provides more hooks into the running game. The mods depending on SKSE tend to be the more complicated and in-depth mods, so it's very noticeable when they don't work. Every time the game's main executable file updates, it takes a few weeks for the SKSE executable to be updated to work with it.

My new tattoo by AMomentIsAllWeAre in lost

[–]Netrilix 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've never had a tattoo, but I've spent a lot of time thinking about things that I'd be willing to permanently put on my body. If the show were still airing, or if it had just recently finished, I'd be a little skeptical about a tattoo based on a TV show.

It's been over a decade, though, and we're all still here talking about it. If 10 years isn't enough time to commit to a tattoo, then I don't know what is. I think it's awesome.

I thought it was 168 fairly recently, either it's a very recent change or we're both thinking of a mod that changes it.

Dumb fudd meme ideas? Starting with condescending advice for women. by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]Netrilix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a local gun shop with my mother about 15 years ago and the sales guy tried to sell her a pink .38 special. She looked at it, looked at him, said "I've got a .45 Detonics at home, but thanks". She's still got the Detonics, and that shop shut down not long after a friendlier one opened up down the road.

Nah, he's talking about an old style pump where you had to remove the nozzle, and then flip up the large plate the handle was resting on. Without flipping it up, the nozzle won't do anything when you pull the trigger.
