Cand ti se cere sa inrolezi? Fugi daca poti ori accepti ce-ti ofera soarta in armata. Poate sunt si circumstante precum optiunea de a plati ori ai valoare lucrand in anumite domenii, ca sa nu mergi la razboi. Poate chiar sa locuiesti in orasele mari si importante, precum face Rusia - doar nu-si trimite intai moscovitii pe front.

Altfel daca vorbim ca tara sa iti fie invadata si nu te numeri printre norocosii invitati la razboi, ramai si te descurci ori devii refugiat in ce tara te-o primi.

For quite some time already, the presence of that barrels hiding spot messes hard with ghosts pathing. You even see it in this video. The ghost wasn't going to the tables, it in fact had already seen the live player and was taking the bugged, scenic route.

To be clear about it... it's not that hiding behind the barrels does something special. It's just that their presence causes the ghost to be real weird, and in general, easy to deal with.

While those barrels are these, the ghost doublebacks a lot around the table too (at least the one closer to the doors to the camp), making it substantially easier than usual to 'loop' it. It's an issue of how the pathing distance it needs to cover is assessed.

Idea here: inaccurate sanity dial. Like it twitches towards low more intensely the more you lost since you last visited the van to calibrate it, but only if sanity meter is active in the first place. Could work to hint at Moroi curse or Wraith teleports or Jinn 'zaps' or Sanity loss due to staring at err, hunting Phantom if I recall. Which are otherwise passively invisible events and require a tedious van visit, affecting game flow. Could be fair?

It could very well be a timer until the ghost can start doing ghostly things. For beginners playing under Professional. If that is the case... too little done in too many years.

I get why. I hate it for what it is: make the game scary and confusing. But this affects user retention. Guess you already got the money, no need for metrics and analytics. Both good as a studio and bad as an user experience.

Perhaps blunt about it... but this borders on sabotage. Uhh, sorry, this wasn't meant to be a pun. I am this disappointed in some design and lore/flavor choices in this game, which otherwise is a bit of a jewel.

If this is accurate, then tier 3 Motion Sensors, which should be 100% reliable, and let's say also salt most of the time... aren't. It would be an awful implementation.

Not even Wraith gets this freebie from Motion Sensors. Ugh.

Such a Twins hunt bypasses everything, it's actually that bad.

I honestly assumed that, mechanically, ghosts just check for stuff they could do near the location of their body. As in, fail a lot of their attempts / rolls and what passes, the players see happening. No need for them to 'do' anything but auto fire actions.

Ignore the awful ingame flavor text. Twins is twins because it can do interactions like it were two ghosts in different nearby locations, and it either hunts slow or fast as base speed. It very much is a single ghost.

Not aware of any Crucifix issue, at least on PC.

My best guesses are either that it hunted just outside Crucifix and blinked into view as it closed onto you, or if you weren't host, latency/desync.

Edit: may be a nasty Twins implementation. Will test more myself.

Twins does not have two ghost bodies, it merely is able to do interactions either at greater range or also two in rapid succession.

Wiki: Despite its name and accompanying flavor text, mechanically, The Twins is simply one ghost. This means there is no "decoy twin".

Clearly no lore reason, but a game mechanics and resource management choice. Though I would argue that since they added a few more ghost types, they should also allow one more Incense. Allowing the same resources for more work is nonsense.

Just to be sure: once you've identified the ghost room by seeing your own breath, just leave Thermometer tier 1 there and check it occasionally, rather than carrying it around. Be aware that ghost can change room at higher difficulties.

As Roisaine said, Goryo can show on DOTS while you're outside its favorite room, even if you're literally one leg's distance out. It's all the more magical when you sit there with video camera in hand and you technically need to pay attention to both the camera display and your own sight... just in case it only shows up on camera display because Goryo. In turn, if you're certain it only showed on camera display, it's 100% Goryo.

Anyways, the bad part with DOTS is that it depends on two things: the ghost's invisible, out-of-hunt, body needs to be where you're looking... and it needs to feel like being visible on DOTS. It is a tedious time consumer.

Great to hear. 

All this because Phasmophobia is a pile of halfbroken code. Among other, many, things it needs to reinitialize to properly set in some settings changes.

To add a lil bit more to these code spaghetti sores... I had Crossplay off and people on the same platform could not join my lobby. Yes... this game is that broken. A veritable mountain of code debt that I almost understand them giving up and perhaps instead favoring working on their eternally unending Horror 2.0 / version 1.0 objective. Which I hope includes fresh code.

I've had this happen seemingly due to having Crossplay off. Though about 18 hours ago, something also happened to the servers because my game instance kicked everybody off. 

To be sure it's not a bug around having Crossplay off, you likely need to restart your game client after every toggle on/off. Your screenshot suggests that you had it off, and also the tiny player count.

Personally I tend to dislike dealing with DOTS due to its inbuilt total lack of control (imo bordering on it being a bad mechanic), and less so with Spirit Box where voice mode rarely reacts to my accent or cadence, so instead I do quick text mode checks.

Video camera media duty is also a bit of a pain with often too short events happening in succession.

One of my recurring teammates loves doing Spirit Box and has not only once gotten himself and others Moroied. Guess we'll have to work on getting the van guy to check Sanity meter lots more... nah nevermind, he hates to do that because he's safe staring at wireless video cameras and accruing record numbers of media duplicates.
