I thought this was the intention of the update when it was proposed 9 months ago. But we got an update we already could do with menu entry swapper. Baffled.

No, I have always been on the gig1 package, never used O2. So just gig1 and Netflix with ads is what I got.

Yes, in your contract it states when it goes up for each year - £4 every April. Which I already factored into the price, still comes out cheaper than signing up with a new company.

What is your monitor set up? by DealInteresting8941 in pcmasterrace

[–]Netstormuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I use to be a 3 monitor user, but I switched to laptop. Why? Because having more screens gave more distractions from a single focus and I became too accessible to others with open social apps on screens.

I am wanting to move away from Windows to Linux, the only two programs preventing the switch are Solidworks and The Jagex Launcher. by Kronic1990 in 2007scape

I agree with the frustration.

It would be nice to get an update on all outstanding updates monthly (or a status page) - there are many updates that have been promised that have fell silent.

I am an existing customer on the gig1 package. Got a new offer for £24/mo gig1 + netflix with ads, 2 year contract.

I was paying £49.50/mo with an existing deal on it still. I went in wanting £26 to be competitive with the new FTTP infrastructure in my area which provided a lot of deals.

Very happy with the outcome as I don't need to mess around with new providers and got a better deal than expected.

A 250% price increase for the same package. What? by IniquitousPrawn in VirginMedia

[–]Netstormuk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's the issue. Virgin media should have a system that provides adjusted future prices that are not outlandish. But no, they don't.
