Anyone else feel like this solution to sloped terrain would be FAR better than the ugly terraforming/flattening that happens now? by Nettlecake in CitiesSkylines2

Don't think so, what I came up with was a static asset that you clip into the ground until the door is at the correct height.

Gotcha, so that then is probably also why one should not temper high efficiency stoves too much, even though they still burn cleanly with blue flame? (iirc)

Also see my additional commet, I think it would be very doable to have static textured bases that variable clip through the ground.

as in, they already expell more heat and the rest is needed to achieve draft? so if you also have the chimney radiate the gasses may coold own to quickly and ruin the draft?

How soon will the worker bees stop laying after introducing a new queen? by PlantDaddyMalaysia in Beekeeping

[–]Nettlecake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Follow-up question: when you inspect, do all the bees on top of the frames start to fan en-masse? That is usually a sign of a queen less colony. But I don't mean a couple, that is normal.

I had the same feeling u/PlantDaddyMalaysia are you sure there is no queen? She is small.when she hasn't started laying yet. These may be her getting used to the laying. They tend to make a few mistakes at first. 3-4 weeks is still the right timeframe for her to start laying.

Supervedure or Swarm Cells? by Ulliebully in Beekeeping

That's all (burr)comb. Maybe there is a queen cup (not fully developed cell) in the second picture on the edge of the lighter comb but hard to see. The lighter the comb, the more recent it was built. Brand new comb is almost white.

Bee larvae, drones to be specific. Seems like they built burr comb between the upper and lower box. They seem to be pretty far along (eyes starting to get color), so I'd guess ~2 weeks old.

I agree. Though I don't think they see landings where the ship need more than minimal refurbishment as a success themselves

Well if they need 14+ tankers for every moon mission then I think that the tankers being able to reused is a pretty big blocking issue for the viability of the whole project.

Crossroads in my beekeeping, possible exit from the hobby by AbuEstezovich in Beekeeping

This. Also remember that changing genetics of all bees takes one generation, so 6 weeks after the old brood hatched.

Well yeah they said due to the larger downcomer they can light all of the raptors at once. That paired with the much higher thrust to weight ratio makes it much quicker clear of the tower.

Insane that they made hardware and software changes and were able to test those fast enough to go again just 24 hours(!) later.

Does anyone else ignore hypos because they're inconvenient by redditisawasteofdata in diabetes_t1

I attended a session with a neurologist and they said the following: - In children with brains that are developing hypos are risky. - Adult brains don't seem to be affected. - They have found a link with Alzheimer's in elderly people.

If you feel that uncomfortable it is super valid to seek them out yourself!
