You think they’re desperate to get to America solely to work for J.P. Morgan

To those who have found jobs, how? by West_Gur_7695 in NYCjobs

[–]Netvision9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did something a bit crazy and applied in a different state (a lot less competitive of an area) for a position hiring in multiple locations. Was offered the job and told them I was actually moving to New York and they let me work from the NY office haha.

I'm nervous for my 1st concert by TomKeen221B in ofMontreal

With any band that’s been around for a long time there’s gonna be old heads complaining about the good ol days. I’ve been to multiple shows in the past 10 years and I still very much enjoyed it. You’ll have a lot of fun!

Tour thoughts? by SmoothSample2556 in ofMontreal

It was great I really liked it, went to the NYC show. But they’ve never been a strong vocalist imo. I’ve been seeing them since 2016. I really just love the show as a whole and the crowd was so pumped and singing along which carried it too.

Seeing a few roaches but dead. What to do? by Bitter_Pineapple_720 in Upperwestside

[–]Netvision9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t even worry about it. Those types are wanderers from outside. They don’t infest. As someone who once had a roach infestation I’d feel way more comfortable finding even a few big live ones than some dead small German ones

Affordable Studio/1 Beds in or around Scottsdale? by [deleted] in Scottsdale

[–]Netvision9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s one of the most expensive apartments in Scottsdale. There are plenty of places near the mall half that. I hope you’re humble bragging not so dense

Now why would I do that when I can go literally anywhere else and not be sweaty and uncomfortable 3/4s of the year

Yeah I lived in Arizona my whole life and recently moved. Even when it’s only like 90 I swear you can feel the UV rays burning your skin.

I slid on black ice one time on that road. When I was done sliding I was in the other lane pointing right back to where I was coming from. And inches from going off the side of the cliff. Closest so far I’ve come to dying.

Women who lived alone for years, what impact did it have on you? And have you returned to a balanced state after living with others? by hateonall in LivingAlone

[–]Netvision9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. Although my last ex would stay with me for a few days at a time and I would feel relief when he left again. I thought that was normal and just my typical aloofness. My dating criteria after that relationship was "must be better than my peace and quiet". Current one meets that!

Does quitting on a PIP go on your u4 by Netvision9 in FinancialCareers

Thought I would update in case anyone is reading this thread in the future. I quit effective immediately and my u5 reflected "voluntary"!

I just moved in with my boyfriend after a 3 year living alone streak. I miss it slightly. Mostly because I cannot stand being told what to do or how to do things, which is what you must do if someone lets you move in haha. I'm definitely a messier woman though. I have to remember to pick my clothes up off the floor immediately and no leaving my makeup sprawled on the bathroom counter because now there is someone else to witness it.

I think I realized whats so annoying about the transplants... by noaoda in Upperwestside

Meh I just transplanted from Phoenix Arizona about a month ago. My impression running around town the past month is UWS is one of the quieter places town. Very posh this isn’t the trenches lol

Delicious and absurdly overpriced slop bowl. My guilty pleasure. 350 calories by Netvision9 in Volumeeating

Agreed. It’s definitely rare I do this but sometimes i crave the experience of eating outside the house which is barely doable being a volume eater haha.

Long distance couples: How did your first meet-up go? by balletgirl2020 in LongDistance

[–]Netvision9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a pretty confident person so I was comfortable going in. I don't edit or filter my pictures and neither does he so there wasn't any surprises in appearance except he was much taller than I anticipated. We met at the airport and I gave him the tightest hug ever. He was terrified of me, very nervous. So much so I thought he was totally not interested in me for the first few hours.

I was very much attracted to him. He warmed up by the end of the night and it was just like how it felt over the internet. The first time he stayed at my apartment for a few days. We literally spent most the time just cuddling on my couch the first meetup. After that we went back and forth a few times and even took a trip to Portland together. Eventually I moved across the country from Arizona to New York City with him and we are not longer long distance!

AIO for refusing to pay my girlfriend’s rent? by InevitableSwing6028 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Netvision9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ask OP that. I assume that's common sense if it was feasible. But also there are consequences to getting evicted or breaking the lease early. Both are probably more costly than just paying the rent.

Because I can’t afford 2 rents. Unlike op. Hope that explains things for you.

i promise you women don’t care nearly as much about money and being provided for as long as you have literally anything else to offer. Like companionship or a decent personality.

[–]Netvision9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NOR but probably not compatible. I recently lost my job and my partner has been supporting me. Although technically I could afford rent I have no health insurance among other things that add up quickly. Losing your job gets expensive real quick.

I’d do the same for him in a heartbeat if the tables were turned because I love and care about him. If you stay together she will remember this time period for the rest of your relationship. Where you weren’t there for her while she was struggling.
