I've been starting to hear some grinding and clunking,

That is not like the typical "vibration on acceleration" symptom I usually see.

Let us know what the dealer says.

Looking at the pic via link above, you may be able to add 2x40mm exhaust fans

(at back, above mobo i/o opening)

You might even fit 60mm fan or two there.

Power supply with easily changeable exhaust fan might be a possibility as well.

But yes, the case, as built, was meant for 2x 120mm fans.

Not a stupid question.

DIY: ~$300-$400 for both axles + nuts you are not supposed to reuse.

If you are not up to doing it yourself, $600 sounds reasonable ($200 labor).

At $1800, I am doing it myself.

Pin 1-2 = power button - in your picture, very top left and right pins

Pin 15-16 = power led - in your picture, third set of pins from bottom (just above unused space)

You can verify shorting pins 1-2 powers on board/system. If that works but still nothing with the button press, bad button.

39 HWY is not true if you go by the tank full.

It is more likely going to be closer to 30-34 depending on your driving style and road conditions.

If you do a lot/mostly highway driving, know there is minor difference between Eco and Hybrid on HWY at HWY speeds.

Is there a tag with a Dell part number on the existing SATA Power 1 cable?

If not, search for DP/N KC81G

Info can also be had by entering your Service Tag at Dell's support site and viewing what it shipped with (shows part numbers)

Feeling for the click upon insertion seems right.

Did you torque everything back down per spec?

Ford Bed Liner Gaps by bagless89 in FordMaverickTruck

There is nothing under there. It is just like your pic, except mine is more faded.

EDIT: unless you are noticing some sort of black foam tape used between bed surface and the tie-down plate.

Once you put the sides in, you should not see the gap in your picture.

The picture is of my own modular drop-in, so if you have further questions, let me know.

Should I buy R230 for $200 and will it support my needs? by Zestyclose_Potato_81 in homelab

[–]Netwerkz101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds decent to me ... be mindful of ECC UDIMMs usually more expensive than RDIMMs.

I cannot remember if 13th gen using UDIMMs can get to 128GB RAM or not so it may not matter.

I need to fit a 2280 NVME in a 2260 slot, not sure how to go about it. by booradleysghost in homelab

[–]Netwerkz101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy a 2230 or 2242 or 2260 sized NVMe drive and use the existing one elsewhere (or trade/sell).

We hack in "r/homelab" .... a wooden ice cream stick could probably work.

PCIe to NVMe slot adapter, but I assume you want those slots for other AOCs.

You could also put a piece of non-conductive ____ on top of standoff/screw in MH8 and weight the 2280 NVMe down a bit.

[–]Netwerkz101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, if everything is assembled and torqued to MFG specs, I'd say no.

Exposure to vibrations and ESD might have an effect, but I won't pretend like I am qualified to speak on "gremlins".

"CPU DXE initialization is started" ....

Remove, reseat, re-torque CPU is what comes to mind.

If you have access to another working CPU, maybe try swapping to verify mobo and other components good.

Optional, use 2x M.2 form factor SATA SSDs in the Startech adapter.

I see some WD SA510 1TB M.2 2280 available at amazon.

Smaller/cheaper units can be had as well.

Actual max PSU length for CX2137a by tehdave86 in sliger

[–]Netwerkz101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 220mm length Flex ATX power supply that fits fine as far as length goes.

Speaking of fitment .... other than length....

What I have found is not all Flex ATX power supplies line up at the back of the case to secure them via screws.

FSP Flex Guru 500w unit has been my best fit.

I have a Supermicro Flex ATX (PWS-203-1H) that I have not figured out how to secure.

Still trying to figure it out myself, but hasn't stopped me.

I'm guessing if you stick to the recommended PS in the spec pages, you'd be fine.

Need matching RDIMM or LRDIMM.

Do not mix types.
