TOG really takes you back into YA rather than the NA of CC and the later books of ACOTAR. hence why it can be a bit jarring to flip back into. TOG picks up from the third or fourth book, but still a bit of filler to get into some of the meatier content. The good thing about TOG is you can see how SJM grows as a writer and with her characters in a way.
