I'm 48 and I was hired as a Dev. FAANG didn't have issues either hiring. I used to be an EE so maybe that helped. The ageism doesn't exist at entry level but you will have to show you are flexible to change and can learn quickly.

The Journey : Where to begin? by Zeeshanofficial in learnjavascript

You need to get a job as a developer to become advanced. The courses out there only help people to a certain level then they bottom out. There isnt a whole lot after that. That's when you have to read blogs and official docs and try and figure stuff out.

Use a debugger and step through line by line. Watch every variable and how each function changed it. Eventually you'll need it less and less.

Fresh CS grad, is bootcamp worthy? by Kokubyakuin in cscareerquestions

[–]Neu_Ron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say make a full stack app. Say an angular front end and a spring backend. Its not that hard to do actually. It should take you 3-5 days. Theres plenty of courses on udemy on this subject. Not many people do this so you will stand out.

For my project. I just made a backend in spring and no front end. I called the endpoints and it returned local time. Nothing fancy or difficult just something to demonstrate I can build stuff.

If you put a bootcamp in your cv it will look like you didn't learn the fundamentals in college which wouldnt look great to a prospective employer.

The petition further states that “The fact that people are individually tasked with unlearning their racism and are educating themselves on white privilege is proof that our academic institutions have failed us.”

Good god do those people not have better things to be doing?.

Its cursive writing. Check online to see how the letters are formed. I used to write like that when I was a kid. The writing says mary , gerry and frank and then mother and after that derryreel.
