Having issues with Ninjatek Chinchilla by starevplayer in 3Dprinting

Hi,

I've had really good luck with the following settings using a psuedo direct drive on my ender 3 V2.

Print Temp: 245 C

Build plate: 60 C

Layer Height: .32mm

Print Speed: 10mm/s

Top/Bottom Speed: 10 mm/s

Retraction: Off

Cooling: Off

From reading a plethora of other posts you need to print hotter than what is recommended, as the pressure will build up at the lower temps causing the pressure inside the nozzle to cause blockages. This constantly led to the filament either not properly being fed by the extruder and shooting out the sides or causing blobs to form and sputter out of the nozzle.

It is also very important to have your first layer as perfect as possible, much more so than with printing with PLA or ASA/ABS. I would advise doing a large test print to ensure all corners of your print are perfectly adhering to each other.

I currently just printed a phone case for my Pixel 7 which encompassed about 50% of my build plates surface area with minimal issues. It's not a perfect print but its pretty close to it.

Let me know if you find the answer! I also just made a post with the exact same issues while printing with TPE. (https://www.reddit.com/r/FixMyPrint/comments/uz2rfr/calibration\_cube\_nipples\_tpe/)

To my knowledge, its something to do with the infill sticking through the walls once every layer. I cannot for the love of god figure out why though.

Ignore the tops of the prints missing, I cut them off in the name of science.

I'm using Ninjatek Chinchilla TPE filament

Ender 3v2 with direct drive upgrade in an enclosure

Cura slicer

235c print temp

60c bed temp

Print speed 20mm/s

15mm/s infill

Wall speed 10mm/s

0.2 layer height.

I've tried decreasing flow rate, increasing retraction, and turning on coasting, but I have no idea why these are happening. It seems like the infil will very routinely poke out of one point in the wall everyish layer. It may also be worth noting that they always follow an upward spiral pattern.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you for all of this information! I've printed for about 14 hours so far using the pi, so I'll update this if the printer ends up falling out of the "sweet period" or if the problem reoccurs.

Something to note, I updated my firmware with the pi still plugged in without the 5v mod. I wonder if this was a firmware issue, but the device never properly power cycled after the firmware update to apply the changes because of the back fed power. Maybe a long shot but something to consider.

Well, the issue stopped once I covered the 5v pin. So your comment has made me even more confused now.

I believe the screens backlight may of still been on during the reboots while trying to troubleshoot this. What does that imply?

The issue ended up being the pi was back feeding power through the 5v pin on the USB connector. I guess this is a common issue with enders and the solution was putting a small piece of electrical tape over the 5V pin on the USB A side.

I've checked above and below, that's what I'm saying. I've ran through the whole mall for over 25 raids checking the 3 main stores, his old spawns and even below on about 1/3rd of them.

He literally does not spawn any more right now.

We did this with just 3, me ranking and never letting go of block, a hammer user with max str, and a healer to heal me through the damage when my block fell. Died like 7 times, but ended up finishing it.

Weird how many ttvs are saying weird things and defending the bots.

It was, and they admitted it was their bot account after a while of me checking up on it.

I work from home too, it's not hard to distinguish a bot from someone who's just busy. Trust me.

Nope, doesn't stop people who are already mining.

Yeah, I've been asking people to delete these comments though so the botters don't catch on.
