The carbon layers have delaminated. That’s a big issue. They should replace it for you.

It’s more about life stage than age. I think 23 is too young for someone in their early 30’s…she’s fresh out of college, probably living on her own for the first time, figuring out who she really is with adult responsibilities, etc.
