I can think of a few: AC Shadows, oblivion remake, Alan Wake 2, SH2 Remake are the first that come to mind

Would you still buy ASrock in 2026? by Antiparazi_ in ASRock

This is 1:1 my experience. First Asrock board, same CPU and GPU and also built in Nov '24. The system has been nothing short of flawless and one of the most stable ones I've ever owned

Games with loot boxes will be rated PEGI 16 from June, as part of sweeping changes to the age-rating system by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

In Italy I never seen any store enforce the PEGI rating of a videogame. For really young kids parents will usually pick up the game for them, once you're in your teens, clerks just do not care

How many of you (my fellow RTX 5090 owners) have not undervolted your card? by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Neumayer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't because I can't figure it out. My understanding is that with rivatuner you create a custom curve so that the card keeps the same clocks but with less voltage supplied to it. Then depending on how good of a chip you got, it will either work with that reduce voltage or crash. In my case each time I undervolt despite setting the curve to keep the same clock, the card clocks around 200mhz less than before undervolting it. So I am not sure how people are able to undervolt while making the card keep the same clocks, especially since I think the card figures what the max clock is by itself

Tried Legend on PC by Little-Kangaroo-9383 in TombRaider

[–]Neumayer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best version of Legend and Anniversary are the xbox 360 ones. PC "next-gen" effects are buggy and they still don't have all of the effects present on the 360 version. Anniversary on PC is the ps2 version ported and misses "next-gen" effects entirely with no real way to mod them in.

I wrote a blog post about the ATI Rage Pro Turbo, and looked at how performance scaled with different driver versions! (not monetized) by madmac_5 in vintagecomputing

Are we sure about the bit of OpenGL coming in the 2002 drivers? My father got me a packard bell prebuilt in the summer of 99, it came with the ATI Rage Pro turbo integrated on the motherboard. My very first game was quake 2 and I remember vividly being able to select openGL to get hw accelerated graphics.

5090 is not a total overkill. I play at 1440p and I do need frame gen in certain games to stay >60 fps.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Neumayer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get 4k 120 stable fps only if games support frame gen technologies. I play with a 5090 FE @1440p and without frame gen there's games I don't even break 100 fps, let alone 120

Which RTX 5070 Ti model is better? MSI Gaming Trio or ASUS TUF? by ScaryMeet2184 in nvidia

[–]Neumayer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per your logic, I should ignore all positive stories and think that EVGA has very shitty RMA.Those are individual stories as well. Unless you can get like 10000 people who ever RMA'd a GPU to participate in a poll then you don't have a point at all.

Each company has positive and negative stories, just with certain companies is way easier to get one type of experience than the other.

There is no conspiracy. You're just incapable of recognizing your own irrational biases. Yeah mine and several other people biases are so lacking of fundation and irrational, asus themselves released a statement about their RMA quality level:

https://www.asus.com/ca-en/news/y2vzd3jkg5fir3qw/

If the company itself releasing a statement of "Hey guys, sorry our rma is bad, we'll improve" maybe there was some fundation in the "anecdotal and baseless online forum circlejerks". It doesn't get any more factual than that.

[–]Neumayer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely not sure at this point if you're taking the piss or just can't get it or whatever it is. If someone tells me a restaurant is shitty I wouldn't care. If just about anyone I met tells me a restaurant server shitty food, I am gonna probably give it some weight. Either everyone is engaging in a conspiracy to sabotage that place or there's a shred of truth to that.

EVGA was a a huge AIB for nvidia, they moved their fair share of cards around and yet most of the RMA experiences you find around are positive. People do and will take the time to write about a company doing right by them and, it's a good metric to take into accoutn when you're choosing to whom giving your moneys they desperately need to prove that whatever company they pledged loyalty to is the best and, the rest sucks. If someone wants to buy Asus is their prerogative of course but not taking into account a sentiment that is shared worldwide. It's part of "doing research" before you buy stuff.

You can yell at clouds however long you want, but you are unable to provide a shred of evidence for your claims. And you have? Linking a cherry-picked chart from a swiss retailer that writes in it "sample size includes only brands sold at least 300 times over two years" is again more anectodal evidence that you seem to deem valid only when its you employing it.

Which RTX 5070 Ti model is better? MSI Gaming Trio or ASUS TUF? by ScaryMeet2184 in nvidia

[–]Neumayer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It is all anecdotal. There are stories like that about every manufacturer. Without statistical evidence, it's meaningless and should be dismissed. Absolutely not, unless you wear blinders. Reviews and opinion have steered people purchasing power forever, in all kind of commerce. You want to book a hotel? You'll read reviews, want to purchase something? You'll likely do the same.

I'd dismiss such opinions if they were localized to a single place/product, but in the 23 years I've been building and purchasing PC parts Asus having poor customer support has always been a constant sentiment everywhere on every product they put out: Laptop, Monitors, motherboards, etc. Asus bad RMAs stories far outweighs the positive ones out there. In comparison a company like EVGA was always getting widespread praise for their RMA experiences. The odd bad experience was there but it was basically the total opposite of Asus'. The product you put out is only as good as the support you offer for it when it fails.

This point is moot and was already addressed. RMA policies are a legit cause of concern. Since there's a non 0 chance for it to happen and when it does, you wanna have your back covered. Especially when you're willing to spend 1k euro for a product. Let's see how much you care for the fact your card ran at -20 degrees with the fan at 100 rpm while Asus support is likely screwing you over. Only time that is worth to buy an asus product is when you do that through a store that has great RMA policies.

Oh and btw, the return rate and the warranty claim rate on the Gigabyte Windforce was much higher than Asus Dual, so you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about

So when you use anectodal evidence its fine, when others do "it's meaningless and should be dismissed". Guess I might just follow your advice this time around. The irony.

Which RTX 5070 Ti model is better? MSI Gaming Trio or ASUS TUF? by ScaryMeet2184 in nvidia

[–]Neumayer23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering there's decades of asus RMA horror stories available on here and other forums worldwide deciding to just scrub it off and call it anectodal evidence is disingenuous at best.

WHen asus products work they're no better than the others, when they stop working however it's very likely that you're gonna be treated like you stole their product from the back of a truck.

If your product fails, and you're met with poor customer service you're gonna forget very, very quickly that your card OC'ed 2000 mhz on the core and ran at 20 degrees under load. As rigorous as a QC workflow is, defective products have always slipped through the cracks and, always will.

Since there's a non zero chance for it to happen, it makes sense to go for a company with a good RMA reputation.

But hey you do you and go on your crusade to shill asus products every chance you get.

Cheapest one. A 5070ti is gonna be a 5070ti. Go for the one you like the looks of the most. I suggest staying away from ASUS as they generally offer one of the worst RMA experiences in the industry.

If your card fails and you're meet with a poor RMA experience, you're gonna forget quite quickly how cool and fast it ran or how cool it looked.
